Personally, I think I prefer the sketch of this one, but I do like how the colors sort of blend and his neutral sort of coloring works so well with the background.

I think the reason that we don't see too much of different breeds is because the descriptions for most of the cats fits the generic domestic short hair, plus in theory a persian or exotic wouldn't do well in the wild XD
