Ode to the dogs,
Man’s best friend.
All determined till the end.
Ode to the jackals,
Majestic and howling.
Who wander the hot sands prowling.
Ode to the Gods,
Offerings abundant,
Seeming very much redundant.
Ode to Anubis,
Agent of the dead,
Though not evil, most do dread.
Praise to his duty,
Determination strong.
Whose work will be forever long.
Ode to Egypt,
Culture, constant flowing.
Art they left for our ignorant knowing.
Ode to this culture,
Epic still held strong.
Which others interpret… always wrong.
