The last days Santiago spends a lot of time in his Mek, which he has developed and constructed in the last months. I can't get rid of the feeling that, despite everything, he enjoys controlling the thing, even though he constantly claims that he doesn't want to control the mek and that that would actually be my job.
But I am absolutely not suited for that and to be honest I prefer the speed and inconspicuousness of Perseus.

My respect for this huge thing is also just too great. Above all, it is too sluggish for me and after all the stories of San, the whole thing scares me too. I'm even surprised that he dares to get into such a thing again, after everything that happened to him. Maybe that's the real reason why he wanted me to be the pilot, but I'm just too stupid.

Now he's sitting in the big behemoth like before, probably unhappy because it's not working the way he thought it would.
I can even understand the perfectionism, because it's the same for me with my drawings. There is always something that can be improved. But I put up with it, he, however, is almost obsessed and it wouldn't be the first time that I find him asleep in front of his running holoscreens.
Often I have to literally force him to sleep, which fortunately almost always works after good coaxing, whereby Marcus said that it is amazing that I manage that with San, because normally he would not listen to anyone in that respect.
