Description Yet another graphite/digital painting hybrid image, much like "Downhill Ride". Not much depth to the subject matter, its just another one of my typical generic cute girl drawings... though its actually been awhile since I have posted one.

I'm crazy busy with school... and my mind has been in a particularly awful state this past week... so I decided to colour this image from my sketch book to try and get my thoughts off all the stress and anxiety...

I have been meaning to comment on this since you first posted it, but outside forces have prevented me!

First off, I think you should color your sketches more. I like the sketchiness of the lineart, it gives it a sort of book-illustration sort of feel...

How great! You always draw such cute girls ... find a way to make them alive . But seriously ... great one. It relaxes just by watching it. The right hand of hers is a bit weird for me, but the whole drawing compensates for it greatly.

Ha, that's adorable! Rock on bunny. It's interesting, some parts of it, particularly the trees in the background, look a lot like watercolor.

Thank yous!!! I was trying really hard to mimic a more painterly style... its different than my typical colouring technique... but I think I like it!! And I'm glad you thought it looked watercolour esk, I take that as quite a compliment

How do you get the original traditional media scan to come through the colouring. Could never work that one out...

Heh, the headphone colouration is squarely influenced by your illustration work!

As for the coloration showing through the pencil lines... its just a layer effect in photoshop. I set the pencil scan layer to "multiply". This has the effect of making everything that's white, transparent. So you can just paint under an B&W line work.

Thank you! I like this style too, largely because its pretty quick and easy to do. My tidy lined CGs take sooooo much longer to do.
