Golly, I am SOOOOO rusty!Well, I really needed to start drawing again. Its been too long since I WACOM'd an image. So I figured I'd do some random fanart-ness to try and get back into the groove. I drew a quick pic of Henrietta from GunslingerGirls... it seemed a good subject choice since I wanted to draw cuteness AND a P90 in the same image!
Hopefully this will mark the begging of my return to regularly posting on DA!

How I got hooked on this anime: Was scouring a giant library of anime titles, when I came across this picture of a little schoolgirl with a P90 and I was like, "YES! @_____@;;"
of course there the action-to-talking ratio (which is quite common to anime >_>;

Sorry for not commenting on some of your newer artwork, Usagisama - I hope that you'll excuse another fanboy on a fanart-hunt.
In any case, I do like this artwork. The shading on her clothes works very well and looks entirely natural, and there's a bit of subtlety to her expression, too - it's more hesitant, uncertain inquiry than embarassment, not so much "oops, I've been caught doing something a bit naughty" but asking "I, um, did do well, right?" Looking for validation suits Henrietta well.
One element that I'm not too sure about is her right hand - it looks a little puffy and overlarge, and her two-finger grip on the violin case is strange and seems insecure (then again, she is superhuman and can probably bench-press safes, so it's a moot point really...!). The case itself also doesn't look quite large enough to hold her weapon.
It's a good picture overall, though.

Rusty or no... still looks sweet mate.
But then again anything with a cute girl or P90 in it and I'm sold.
Perspective looks a little wonky on the butt of the P90, but that's the only patch of "rust" there that I can see. Really should watch Gunslinger Girl.

Amen to that, and the P90 isn't the easiest piece to draw either...
To answer two posts with one reply: the P90 fires the 5.7mm round developed by FN, also shared by the Five-seveN hand gun. Advantages are it provides higher stopping power than a 5.56mm round, but offers better penetration against body armor than a standard 9mm... not to mention higher magazine capacity.

Awesome to see your stuff again, what I've always liked about your art was how it's like anime style, but is still very unique to your style and is individual and characteristic. The expression is wonderful on her face. I think you did a splendid job.

Ouch... actually, in the anime I think it does... but that doesn't really makes sense, cause a P90 is really chunky, and I don't see it fitting in a violin case.
