Appearance: Jacob is of Middle-Eastern decent, with tan skin and black hair. He has a ripped, wiry figure with defined muscles and virtually no body hairs. His hero attire consists of a white mask with his mouth, lower jaw and hair exposed and his eyes covered by goggles that obscure his eyes; blue tight pants with a white sash-belt; blue fingerless gloves that reach his elbow with white elbow pads; and blue boots with white knee-pads. All of which feature white details (on the blue parts) or blue details (in the white parts) that invoke a fire theme.

Personality: Jacob is a genuinely good-natured person, wanting to use his powers for good and is fiercely loyal and protective towards those he cares for. He’s also a bit of a romantic and likes making girls (and boys) he like feel comfortable around him. He can be a bit awkward but his passion and good nature shine through. While normally assertive, he’s known to have submissive tendencies towards his girlfriend.
Backstory: Jacob Cruz was given his name by some nuns at a Christian orphanage in New Mexico, who mistook him for being Latino, rather than Middle Eastern. His parents died at a young age and had no immediate family nearby to identify them or their child. Growing up, he wasn’t treated very well and would find himself taken between different orphanages in his years, before he eventually broke off and lived his life on the streets as an urchin. Living with depression and self-hate, he’d eventually gather enough money to purchase a decent sized dose of Fentanyl, with intent to overdose. While he nearly did die, he would find himself saved through use of Naloxone. It was administered by one Kelly Daniels , better known as Starblaze. She would take him in to recover, during which they found that Jacob had latent energy in him, evidence of possible super-powers. Through a process of Kelly getting legal guardianship over Jacob, he was able to undergo the Power Procedure. This process would awaken his powers, granting him his superhuman attributes, flight and his signature blue fire. From there, Jacob would become Blue-Star, Kelly’s sidekick, under the Superior GL banner. He would be under her wing, as well as be a member of the teen superhero team Next Gen, for three years, forming a close connection to Kelly, whom he displayed attraction for.
When the “Rally Crisis” hit, though, Jacob and Kelly would be savagely beaten by the villainess Rally , who would leave Jacob a bloody pulp while taking Kelly away to torture. Jacob would recover and help in dealing with the chaos Rally ensued. Once Rally was taken down, Jacob would return to being Kelly’s sidekick. This didn't last long, as Kelly would eventually be let go by Superior GL due to her inability to keep up her hero work. Jacob would stay with Next Gen until he was 18, from which he made the choice to leave Superior GL and join the T.H. Foundation to become Blue-Flame. After several years as an active hero in his home state of New Mexico, he would move to New York City to become a hero there, during which he would meet one Casey Cameron, who had pulled him in to her apartment he was critically injured and helped in keeping him alive before T.H. Foundation EMTs came to heal him. Jacob and Casey would eventually re-meet and end up getting close, start dating and get intimate. When he founds she was herself a vigilante, he would push his limits with the Foundation and get her equipment to help her in her endeavor while frequently teaming up with her.
When not fighting crime, Jacob works as a webcomic writer, with one series he writes being a slice-of-life sex-comedy akin to Ménage à 3. He would also take advantage of his new residence to stay close with Kay (Kelly after changing her name) and support her as much as he can.
Enhanced Physiology: Having gone through the Power Procedure, Jacob’s latent powers were awoken, revealing him to have superhuman capabilities. It is speculated that if he trains further and taps into his reservoir of power, he’d achieve feats far beyond his current peak.
- UV Light Absorption: Jacob is able to absorb UV light through his skin super effectively. Through this, he can effectively supplement the need for food and sleep with absorbed sunlight. It also helps in accelerating his natural healing and recover from surgery in seconds and help purge his body of diseases and toxins. It also makes him immune to UV-based attacks, like UV lasers.
- Blue Fire Projection: His signature power, Jacob can produce a whitish-blue fire that’s infused with UV waves, giving it the same properties as sunlight. He can encase portions of his body in fire (commonly his fists, elbows, knees or legs for attacks), as well as launch it in the form of balls or bolts. He’s mastered such fine control over this power that he even learned to replicate the Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon, Hellzone Grenade and other Dragon Ball Z inspired attacks, though he prefers to fire "bullets" flames from his finger tips, being faster and less destructive than most other attacks. With a fully charged attack, Jacob can unleash a total destructive force comparable to two FOABs and melt tungsten. This fire seems to have magical/holy properties to it, being super effective against undead, fiends and other unholy creatures. Some believe this fire to be Atar, the holy fire of Zoroastrianism.
- Heat Projection: Jacob is able to forgo the fire itself and instead produce intensive heat from his body. While not able to project it as uniquely as with his fire, he can still use it as a form of defense or offense.
- Cold Immunity: Due to the natural ambiant heat his body produces, Jacob seems utterly unfazed to intense cold. He can even survive in temperatures as low as absolute zero.
- Light Projection: In addition to the fire and heat, Jacob can also project UV light. He can use it as a source of illumination, create a blinding flash akin to Solar Flare, or concentrate the light and heat into a light-speed laser.
- Superhuman Strength: Jacob is incredibly strong, capable of lifting a 10,000 ton cruiser out of the water.
- Superhuman Durability: Jacob is gifted with superhuman durability, capable of withstanding the destructive yield of a MOAB (roughly 11 tons of TNT).
- Heat Immunity: While Jacob can feel heat, he’s virtually immune to the harm of intense heat. This includes heats comparable to or greater than stars.
- Radiation Resistance: While not outright immune, Jacob can withstand far greater levels of radiation than what a normal human can.
- Superhuman Speed: Jacob's speed is far beyond the finest humans, capable of catching hypesonic projectiles out of the sky with his hands.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Jacob is capable of incredible speed. His best reflex feat was dodging upward-moving lighting, which is almost 30% the speed of light.
- Superhuman Agility: Jacob displays agility beyond the finest human acrobats, allowing him to perform superhuman gymnastic feats and areal maneuvers.
- Flight: Jacob is capable of high-speed flight. While he prefers to comfortably fly at supersonic speeds, he can achieve massively hypersonic when pushing his limit.
- Superhuman Stamina: Jacob can seemingly fight for multiple hours before feeling exhaustion. While in an area full of UV light, he can effectively fight endlessly as he uses the light to keep himself energized.
- Accelerated Healing: Jacob can heal at a far faster rate than normal humans, being able to heal from being beaten to a pulp in seconds. However, he can’t heal from broken bones or ruptured organs without additional medical aid.
- Toxin Resistance: Jacob has a greater tolerance against toxins.
- Disease Resistance: Jacob seems to be utterly immune to diseases, namely the kind caused by bacteria or viruses. It's speculated that it's because his powers burn away potentially harmful microbes. This also explains the fact open wounds on him never get infected, that and his accelerated healing closes it up fast. All that said, his body can't defend against diseases triggered by genetics or chemicals, such as cancer.
- Decelerated Aging: While Jacob was able to age normally up to his 20s, he may be able to maintain this prime well past the normal expectancy and may likely live longer.
Hand-To Hand Combat (Advance): Through intensive training and applied use of it on the field, Jacob had come to master Combate Aéreo, a modified form of capoeira and Muay Thai with Lucha Libre-style highflying moves, all of which maximized by his flight capabilities.
Multilingual: Jacob is capable of speaking English and Spanish, as well as knowing enough Portuguese to get across and understand basic information. He had also learned Japanese during the year he stayed in Japan.
Charisma: While not overly charismatic, Jacob certainly knows how to use what he has in good effect:
- Deception (Namely to hide his secret identity)

Intimidation: Over the years, Jacob has learned to intimidate people out of fighting.
Writing: Jacob is a capable comic writer, as he was able to succeed in writing a long-lasting and successful webcomic series.
Anti-Super Weapons: Jacob’s durability isn’t beyond anti-super weapons, which can injure him as easily as most other superhumans and normal humans on Earth.
Charging: Jacob’s output of his blue flame requires a degree of charging, meaning that his most powerful attacks are not instantaneous and can leave him open if he doesn’t act fast.
Blue-Flame Costume: Jacob’s costume doesn’t provide intensive advance protection from harm (let alone cover his chest or back) but it’s made of a material that can withstand considerable hits before being damaged.
Tachyonic Communicator: Jacob carries on him a special tachyonic communicator of T.H. Foundation design, linked to other tachyonic communications systems of the T.H. Foundation. It allows for communication across galaxies.
- While he's largely happy to have left Superior Global, Jacob notes his time as Next Gen as very positive, having met many good friends and discovering his sexual identity.
- Jacob is polyamorous, having a primary relationship with Casey but having additional partners the two would partake in throples with.
- Jacob has viewed both Kelly Daniels and Casey Cameron as "angels", due to both their beauty and for saving his life.
