Never a pencil line, all freehanded!
I purchased a Walker's Rhyming Dictionary from a local second hand book store. Dictionary art has become very popular lately but most only sell prints or take images that they did not draw and put them on pages. I decided I wanted to make these more artistic by painting directly on each page. I sprayed the page with a matte spray to protect them. I suggest framing the page for display. The page comes in a plastic bag with a acid free cardboard backing.
