Description A short project I semi-completed. I can't tell if I'm finished yet.

The goal was really just to take close-up portraits using a makeshift studio I have been experimenting with lately.

These are the majority of the people in my life in the suburbs, I wanted to do something like this before I head back downtown to school.

Inspired by ~trevor-mcnaughton

Supplies used:

.A borrowed Canon 20D
.Canon 540EZ Speedlite
.Vivitar Auto Thyristor with slave unit attached
.Brown Paper Bag as a flash diffuser
.50mm f/1.4
.Mini Quantaray Tripod for slave flash

Enjoy!

This is conceptually very neat. Your choice of subjects seems a bit inconsistent if you're trying to create a microcosim of sorts. You have, however, represented a fair number of the "groups" of young adult suburban culture. I don't think there's any shame in letting this be a work that's never finished. It's coming along quite well already.

I totally love this! For me each one of them kind of tell a story. Like for some reason, I thought of each one of their lives and what they may be like.
Really great idea.

yes, i love it for the same reason. the direct eye contact really draws me into each portrait...it's like i can feel story behind each photo. this is absolutely wonderful!!

wonderful portraiture!!!
every single portrait kind of tells a small story of each of the subjects.
who knows if it's the right story, but interpretation is fun and and a part of art.
i looove this.
great job.
