surprise few days later update! but rip lineartso hey!! welcome to the new look. I'm uh... actually still not sure if it'll stay this way the whole time yet, lol? in some ways it's a lot faster for me than lineart, but a little slower in other ways. BUT it's also more fun for me and I think it compliments my color use more........ but time is ultimately my biggest concern, so, shrugs! we'll see if I change my mind about it later and go back to lineart, but for now it's a nice change of pace, so I'll stick to it for a little while and see how it goes
it'll be a little rough for these next few pages as I was still ironing out a process I'm comfortable with, so forgive me if it looks odd in places!

It doesn't look odd! More than that it looks like scenes from a dream, because the colouring is soft and the lining is really faint, almost nonexistent. Not sure if it was intended or not, but I like it so *shrug*

Ahh it probably looks odd to me personally just because I'm not used to doing it yet, so my problems feel more noticeable to me, haha. It was supposed to be a little lighter but I didn't want it to look too soft and light... but I certainly won't complain it about having a dreamlike quality, haha.

the new style looks great, imo!! the move away from lineart i feel gives it more of a "painting" feel which i do think compliments your style in a really nice way! :>
Anyway, as always, your art is beautiful and you pick such nice colors to suit the atmosphere! (i really feel so relaxed reading these recent pages, especially after goldenrod) and i don't think i've mentioned this before, but i also dearly love how you approached the sudowoodo encounter (am i very much hoping this annoying child joins the team? Mayhaps.) their personality is Incredible, the design is especially clever, and i look forward to seeing how this all plays out *v*

ahhh gosh thank you so much, I super appreciate it ;; this sudowoodo scene and the general design used to be wayyyy different lol, so I'm glad to hear you like how it came out!! but whether they join or not... hmmm :3c

The lack of lineart is pretty cool and the change isn't really jarring or anything. Though this particular page seemed a bit too bright? Like it was hard to separate some of the characters and the backgrounds in some panels. I don't think that's a lineart problem though, just a color scheme problem.
I'm excited to see Ecruteak and learn a bit more about Leon!

yeahhh, I've had others mention having some trouble differentiating things. I'd agree it's a color scheme problem, but the lineless style is interesting because it probably makes these problems more apparent than if there were lines, so I'm forced to be more careful about it :y an unintended but neat extra aspect.

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. One of the things that I really like about your style in general is your choice of color.
I certainly don't have the confidence to try a lineless style, so the fact that you'reΒ making your comic with it is pretty impressive!
