"In the great war amongst the ancient god’s, many divine warriors fought an infernal battle that raged for millennia. These great battles raged back and forth the planes of existence, destroying many worlds. Until the great Demon Lord Marderaethor finally managed to get the upper hand. The Demon Lord managed to strike down one of the ancient gods, and as the Ancient gods life force began to dissipate into oblivion, the Demon Lord drained the life force of the ancient god using a specially forged staff, that had taken 5 centuries to create. Once the staff was fully charged with the divine powers of an ancient god, the Demon Lord ordered his minions to attack the Astral gates of Deliriatixum. These gates had been closed since the creation and only the full life force of a God could open these gates again. It was the Demon Lords plan to open the gates and travel to another dimension. Once there he would drain all the resources to create an even greater army of demons and return to the dimension of gods and finally defeating the them.

The gates of Deliriatixum was guarded by two of the Elder gods Arch angels. The Arch angel Felinaal, and the Arch angel Dimmethion. These creatures was the strongest warriors the Elder gods had created. Each Arch angel capable of defeating over 100 demons. But despite the Arch angels terrible strength, they could not stop the scourge of demons that assaulted the Astral gates. The demon lord managed to kill Felinaal and open the gates. The demon lord, and several hundred of his demons escaped through the gates before Dimmetion managed to seal the gates again. After slaying all the remaining demons that had been left behind, the Elder gods spoke to Dimmetion, telling him to pursue the demon Lord and slay him. They gave him the Elder god’s sword, only it was capable of destroying him.

This was 5000 years ago. And most people have forgotten this story. It is the job of scrollkeepers to keep records of these events. And every now and then, bards like me are allowed to study these scrolls and spread the story amongst the common folk like you. It is said, that Dimmethion still walks the lands hunting the demons that escaped him at the astral gates…
As he walked the earth, he used his power to plant his seed into one chosen woman of each race. And these females gave birth to what would be known as the Chosen ones. The ones born to kill demons instinctivly, but spare if they meet other chosen. With powers thaty would by far surpass those of normal mortals.

(But the Demon Lord Mar found a way top break the chain of chosen. He appeared and took one of the chosen, and planted his seed into the child, thus creating a child which the instinct of the other Chosen would react diffrently to. Because the blood of the chosen told them not to kill this child, due to the blood inside him.)

What he looked like you say? Well, it is hard to tell, the stories mentions that he takes on the forms of many creatures. One scroll describes him as enormous tiger with silver fur that glows with divine power. Another one tells a tale of a tall old man with gray robes and grey beard and a wooden walking stick. But the most frequent sightings tells of a black hooded figure, wearing night black armor and a weapon that frequently changes shape and seems to appear out of nowhere.
