I have to confess, to this day I've yet play a Diablo game. The reason is simple. When I was a kid and we got our copy of Warcraft 2, the disk included trailers and previews of other Blizzard games. One of those previews was of the original Diablo, and it scared the crap out 10 year old me... I think I was 10... anywho, that deterred me from picking up their titles to this day, which from what I gather is my loss
