You mention needing to get better at digital painting which is an awesome goal; however I think you already doing fantastic! There a lot I like about this image, particular the layers and layers of color on this image. Each piece of this looks luscious and filled with colorful, most especially his face! I love how the base yellow of his skin is shaded with purples, pinks, and reds, making his skin look bright and healthy. His freckles are very well down and I can help but notice his lips! They look very soft and I really like the highlights there. His eyes also sparkle!
I do agree with Tirius99 with his hands; they are position a little odd. Painting and detail wise they look great too and it's just so minor compared to what has been accomplished! I will add I think the area directly underneath his neck needs a bit more shadow; I'm not sure if so much light would hit that part of his skin. Again, quite minor.
I love the shine of his hair and I had to zoom in to see all the brush strokes that make up his hair and the color layering there is awesome! Beautiful work and inspiring me to try my hand at Sai!

Wow you made Prompto look so cute :3 I love your hair shaing and all the shiny bits. My only critique would be that his eyes look a bit close together for his character, otherwise awesome

This is incredibly well painted piece and you nailed all the little details. I like what you did with the hair and all the different colored strokes in it. It’s a very effective technique that gave volume to the 2d drawing! It would also be a disservice if I didn’t mention the freckles! Those are so well done, I’m wondering if you used a special brush for those?
Anyways, the amount of detail put into this is beautiful and it’s hard to find a fault. This isn’t a fault, but more something I found a little strange is the hand placement. I think the hands were suppose to be around his cheeks to show a surprised look but with wear the hands are placed it looks like Prompto is covering his ears. But if he’s covering his ears then the hands should curve out a little. It’s definitely not a fault, but it’s something that stood out for me. Prompto shoulders are placed a little high so it gives the illusion that he has broad shoulders as juxtapose when the hands are going up. So maybe slight curve lower might help.
There’s a lot to like about this painting. The amount of detail put into the hair, expression, even to the lollypop in his mouth is well colored. I think the best praise I can give it, is that the painting stands out. So great job!

Oh was not my intention to cover his ears. I was looking at references for guys with their hands cupping their cheeks almost? Same with the shoulder. I'd look at my own when mimicking the pose and my shoulders would go up. I guess I didn't get the pose well from my references T n T I'll have to analyze them better for next time.

I wouldn't say it's a fault, it's just something I personally noticed but I could be seeing it wrong and misremembering his body type. All in all, it's a wonderful painting!
