Description NOTE: Those are hoop earrings in Glide's ear. Also, he's got a short tail that's tipped white (can't see it), and his wings now have purple membrane (see [link] for a better idea of what I'm talking about).

With the unveiling of my contest, I started wondering if there were enough refs around for people to be able to draw the characters. I would hope I had enough of Starlight and maybe Misty, but Glide (on the left) and Zex (on the right) could have used a few more. So here's a good color/pose ref for them!

The art is a bit old though. But I think this gives people a good idea of how they look. Aren't they just so darn handsome

They look really cool here! I like Glide's outfit and boots and Zex's pants and shoes look really cool and the expressions look awesome!

Its good frontal references. Can be useful but I'd recommend side shots as well.


Still the characters show interesting designs and its interesting to note that you have developed them further since this, such as the purple wing membranes for Glide.

Thanks. Even though they aren't my own creations, I still wanted to give them a unique look and progress it as I got better. I mean come on...Rouge's wings are boring to look at. Different colored membrane than the wing itself looks cooler

And yeah I'm aware side views are good for refs too. These were drawings that were jsut sitting around and since I had very few refs for them for the contest, I just kinda...tossed them up here If i ever get around to doing a official ref sheet, you can bet a side view will be on those.

Yeah I was wondering if school would get in the way for most people. Hmmm well that's okay, I'm sure I'll be holding more contests at a later date.

this one's lasting for a good month though, so maybe you'll find time to get something done

You'll definitely see more later I'll talk to the other half in charge of the contest, cause I don't' see why writing can't be one of the mediums used. I didn't think of it until now

"It's fine. I hath been told this a few times before. It's hard to fina contest that will accept songs and poetry into a contest. Even for the contests that deal with major movies coming out. Mainly for professional artists o' anime and drawings. Hopefully I can get a contest to put a song in and win something."
