Description
Manga: Rosario+Vampire
The tarot card ‘king of swords’ is represented by the king sitting on his throne, holding a sword in his right hand, the hand of the conscious, rational mind, and points it upright, symbolising the kings decisiveness, but also flexibility in all matters; while he makes decisions based mostly on his intellectual understanding, he stays open to his intuition. The king of swords card represents mental clarity, intellectual power, authority and truth. Reversed, the card represents quiet power, inner truth, misuse of power and manipulation.
Mikogami is who I chose to represent this card. Throughout the manga, he is mostly shown as the headmaster of yokai academy, a figure of authority and control, despite him not showing up very often, being a quiet force behind the school. He always seems to know what is happening throughout the school and has a plan ready for every situation. Near the end, it is revealed that Mikogami is one of the three dark lords and he presents as very calm, although when he sees fit, he can unleash extreme power. He reveals at the end that he has been manipulating Tsukune and his friends for everything to turn out exactly as he planned and he expects himself to be deemed as morally wrong.
