Description I had a large amount of girls asking the time-honored exclamation of "IF YOU LIKE MEN IN MASKS SO MUCH, WHY IS ERIK NOT THERE?!" after my Hot Men Wear Masks piece. So here. >_> Have some Erik.

I did the old design for the mask because...well, frankly, as much as I enjoyed Christine's talent and the amazing cinematography in the 2004 movie....Gerard Butler can't sing.... *headdesk* *grumble* Whythehellwouldyoucastsomeonewhocan'tsingastheangelofmusicgrrrrahurgetostran gleokayi'mfine *grumble* And why the Hell is Raoul the only important male in that movie who can sing? >_>

Also; 2004 Phantom's face = utter fail. What he had was not a deformation. It was a skin rash. He's supposed to look like a living corpse, not a burn victim. Sheesh.

I'm done being a literary purist (read: nazi) I promise.

Lovely work! All those little folds and creases in the clothes must've given you a hand cramp!

I thought Gerard Butler was amazing as the Phantom and Raoul wasn't the only one who could sing well. The movie is awesome. But that's just my opinion. *shrug*
Anyhow, onto the art...

Oh he wasn't bad; he just wasn't at the level that could be called the Angel of Music. He was a decent singer for someone who was never trained as a classic singer. And I was okay with the movie, I guess the high expectations just killed it for me >_<

Music of the Night is beautiful =w= Freaking beautiful.

No one in that movie should have been in it. 2004 was a disaster. *shrug* Emmy was... er... okay, but not to be Christine. For an opera singer, she couldn't have sung past the first two rows of a theater. But to each his own, I like your artwork.

Ooh...I like this. As much as I really like the musical, I gotta admit that the half-mask just doesn't cut it for me considering the scale of the deformity, so good call, there.
