The Aletsch glacier is the largest glacier in the alps and about 24km (15 miles) long.This panorama is made out of 3 images. The images were made with Canon EOS 30D, EFS 10-22 lens and a Cokin ND grad filter.

This is quite a breathtaking expanse. I enjoy the differences between the left and right sides (i.e. just look at the light and cloudy left compared to the deep blue on the right)...it gives the feeling of great distance.
