You'd never know, but I was a HUGE Pokemon fan back when it first became a thing. I had the game (Red, my brother had Blue), I watched the tv show every morning before school, and I even played the card game for a while. This was all back in middle school for me, and it's since become little more than a distant memory. I haven't watched the show or played any of the newer games in years, but regardless, it was a big part of my childhood, and it still gives me a nostalgic feeling. So when I was requested to draw a Pokemon as a speedsketch by a friend, I was happy to do so.

I'm practicing getting faster at drawing by blocking out large sections of drawings with solid colors, such as the ears and legs. It helps speed things up immensely, as I'm not concerned about details but simply the overall shape. I still take way too long to draw comics, but hopefully getting faster in sketching will improve my output.
