This guy lives in my fence and he finally came out to let me take a couple pictures of him today at lunch. Taken with Panasonic FZ30 using a Raynox DCR250 CU filter. Check out my gallery for lots of other insect/spider macros!Related content

Thanks for all your comments but I'm sorry to report there is bad news. It was really windy today and when I got back from work this spiders web was completely destroyed. I'm hoping he'll rebuild it tonight in the same spot (these spiders rebuild their web every night and consume their old one for the vitamins and protein in them).
At lunch it was windy and I went to check on the 3 spiders in my yard (as I'm sure everyone does whenever they get home) and he was running around his web trying to keep it in one piece, that's when I got this picture. When I first got there he ran over to this huge leaf and at first I thought he mistook it for food, but he just went and bit the webbing that was holding it so the leaf fell out so it wouldn't wreck the web anymore. Then he ran to the couple other leaves and did the same thing. It was pretty cool to watch.
Anyways I'm glad y'all liked the pictures.
