Description I just finished reading Gregory Maguire's "Wicked". I now rank Elphaba as one of my favourite fictional characters of all time. I finished the book about 6 hours hours ago and started on this pic about... 2 hours ago, I think. Brilliant book, amazing and memorable heroine.

On purpose, I made her arms and hands lankier than I usually would, so if you're gonna critique - save on that because I was just trying something out Still deciding if I'mma use that lanky-limb look for another project I have in mind.

Dedicated to Brandon because you let me borrow the book <3, and to because I know you're a Wicked fan . Mwah.

Something that wicked should not be that sexy.

OMG! instant ! I'm reading Wicked for a 2nd time. I've only seen the play once tho. Book is much better. very advanced reading. but I LOVED it! Your pic is AWESOME and expresses her character very well. Confident, yet modest and shy with hidden sexyness. XD

Very nice piece, i like the colors and I don't believe many others have portrayed Elphaba in such a unique way. Excellent work!

I don't know what an Elphaba is or what a Wicked is, but the lack of clothing has caught my interest. In light of this, I give it my approval. Oh, and good drawing and stuff.

I have to agree with all the above, this is a really good pic. I don't actually know the character which doesn't really help, but I like it.

She reminds of another character though... Lemme get a pic...

[link] Ah, here. The one on the left.

Only, like, ten times prettier.

Maybe twenty.

ish.

The background I think is the most impressive part of the picture. Dark and mysterious, it generally fits the nature of the pic.

Also, I am now more than ever convinced to try and see the play.

Thank you, dear (: I did spend quite a bit of time on the background and I'm glad it's appreciated. I've not seen the play yet, only read the book, but I'm REALLY wanting to see it now that I have read it. If we ever get the chance, you and I totally should see it

I've really been wanting to read that book.

Her skin almost looks slimy. I don't know if it's relevant, but I think that's a great addition to the piece.

Beautiful artistry, Liah.

Awesome, baby! I love the background--it sets the tone and storminess just suits her personality. I'm glad you enjoyed the book so much. I love Elphie too I think it's appropriate you made her long-limbed too; it accentuates her strangeness.

Since we had that talk about how you shade, I notice more details about what you do <3 I really like how you shaded the inside of her left shoulder, and in the area of the wrap around her hip.

Her hair is really pretty, but it has a lot of definition compared to her broom, love. Maybe that's because you love doing hair so much <3

This is neat!

Thank you, my sweet <3. You like the lankiness? Well, I'm glad! I realise I made her look a helluva lot sexier XD, but I also think it was fitting since I thought her character to be quite sensual, but strong. I think that's why I made the background stormy. Anyway, thank you, my baby!
