Whoa, this is really neat! I really like how you took what you needed from our stock and then just did the rest on your own, rather than copying the whole pose all together. Thats really awesome and I like seeing people expand like that with stuff like this
Also, I really like how the character is all in black and white, and everything else around him is quite bright red/orange. Good contrast there.
I love the design on the shirt, and how you've done the make-up on his face. Also I really like the coat thing and his pants, oh, and his little toes~

Aw, thanks! Yeah, I did end up changing it a lot...originally, I was going to keep the exact same pose, but the legs ended up taking on a mind of their own and moving...ha ha. I loved the face paint, though, so I totally decided to keep that.

Ha ha, yeah, the handprints were kinda a bitch; I actually painted my hand with tempera (I was about to do it in india ink when I remembered I had something slightly more washable, ha ha ha) and stuck it on a piece of paper, and then I scanned it in seperately from the picture and downsized it and rotated it and all that fun stuff using teh oh-so-amazing computer. Lolz. XD

I'm currently reading Hamlet for an AP 3ngrish assignment, and actually enjoying it.
Hamlet is the ULTIMATE emo-boy. xD He totally needs emo!glasses.
I imagine Horatio as an exuberant punk-type. WITH a pink mohawk. Yeah. Yeah. That'd be bitchin'.
(Am I the only one who detects hints of H/H slash? I can't be the only one. ._. Or maybe I'm just... yeah. Little crazy there. Slashing /Shakespeare/. Hey, it makes it interesting. .-. And would make for some fun papers. xD)
ANYWAY. @_@ All that had a /point/, I SWEAR.
'Cause this artness really reminds me of Hamlet, for some reason. I don't even quite know why; probably the combination of everything (although the bloody-ish handprint would be more at home in The Scottish Play whose name brings supposed bad luck), and the lyrics. But it seems like something he'd say to Claudius.
And pretty much EVERYONE ELSE IN THE FRICKING PLAY.

Ha ha ha! Oh, man, I should draw an emo Hamlet for my next series. That'd be kind of awesome. (Actually, I think Hamlet is the one play we never covered in school...we did most of the other major ones, though.) Although personally, I was always a fan of Julius Caesar slash. Like, there's such a bangin' love knot goin' on there between him and Brutus and Cassius (am I getting these names right?) and Marcus whatever. But at least you are not alone in envisioning Shakespeare slash! Ha ha ha ha.
