Is this the Crystal Palace in London? I have heard there's someone trying to rebuild it as a Hotel and Swimming Pool

And there is always someone planning to build/redvelop something... been plans for the past 70+ years.. nothing ever happens (fortunatly or sadly depending on the plan)

I'm not sure why this is shot is popular with people. It's the parts that are left, are just left to rot. It's why I help on Sundays clearing/excavating the remains of the aquarium and the north tower.

The steps are part of the terraces that were part of the Italian Gardens of the park. Most of the stairs however were pulled up in the late 1950s\early 1960s for scrap.
