Description

Remake time! This is the first remake or reboot that I've done of an older map. I chose Slovenia because I still saw a lot of room for improvement and for playing around with ideas. I don't have a definite timeline, but the general idea is that the Alpine Slavs (early Slovenes) manage to retain the Alps region and parts of Pannonia since the 9th century. It spends most of its time in the Middle Ages as a kingdom.

I used real exonyms to name towns in regions close to the OTL Slovenian border, and tried coining brand new names in outer regions (generally, anything north of Carinthia/Koroška). This was done by inspecting the source, ie. in the Alps, many Austrian town names originate from slavic roots. Also notice; the spelling of certain places has been altered to revert from serbo-croatian influences and use more authentic slovene spellings.
