Description Black’s story
Brief exposition:
*As a note, this version of Black is different than the typical one. In terms of his design, he isn’t wearing the hat, his jacket is unzipped and he wears a black v-neck shirt underneath. The shoes are the same. Same bag. His pants are darker. His hair has less poof to it. General things about his facial structure will be described by other characters inner monologue. This story will follow him through the events of pokemon White, with my own little canon, kind of like a nuzlocke story. Differences in comparison to his typical self in terms of personality will become noticeable soon. White is here. She’s his elder sister by one year.*
Exposition over.

Now on with the show.

It was cold outside. Cheren couldn’t help but shiver as he trudged over to his friends house. It was near winter, but not quite, the sky slate gray with clouds, and no pretty snow to offset it. Cheren only displayed his typical cool manner on the outside, but inside he was positively giddy. That morning, he had received an email from Professor Juniper that they were to get their first pokemon. They being White, Bianca and himself. Black couldn’t get one seeing as he already had a pokemon.

Cheren got to the front door and just threw it open. He’d been there enough he didn’t feel the need to knock. He was greeted with a loud shout of ‘Shut the damn door!’ and a lopsided grin from his best friend. His oshawott, Oslo, was clinging to the top of his head.

“Yo. The box is upstairs, but Bianca isn’t here yet.” He said.

“What a surprise. Is your sister here?”

“Yep. She’s up there bouncing off the walls. Don’t pick oshawott, by the way.”

“Oh? Why’s that?”

He gave another grin. “One, I don’t want to think you’re copying me. Two, White has her eye on it and I like your skin where it is.”

Cheren laughed. “I should head up and make sure she doesn’t tear the box up.”

“Yeah you should. Good luck, and if you need any help, scream.” He sat down, Oslo still clinging to his head, and Cheren headed up.
-------------------------------------------------------
Someone rushed in a few minutes later.

“They’re upstairs.” Black called at them.

“Thanks!” Bianca’s hurried, panted voice responded, and she ran upstairs.

He looked up at Oslo. “ Humans are silly, huh?” Oslo agreed.
-------------------------------------------------------
About five or six minutes later, Black heard a loud crash from the room upstairs. Unfazed, he looked at Oslo, who had transferred and curled up in his lap.
“Think we should go check on them?” Oslo nodded. “Yeah. Let’s go.” He leisurely walked up the stairs, and once at the top headed to his sisters room, accompanied by the sounds of crashing all the way. He opened his sisters door and strolled in.

“Hey, anyone dead yet?” He asked sarcastically. “No? Good.” He surveyed the damage. “My Arceus, the hell did you do?” He asked, laughing.

The room was completely trashed. The bed was propped up against the wall. The TV had been knocked over, and and there were little footprints all around the room. The trashcan had been tossed across the room and its contents spilled out. Black was tempted to make a lewd joke, but he restrained himself.

Bianca answered his question, though not by actually answering it. “WOOOOW!” she said.

“Even though they’re so little, they’re so strong!” This led Black fully over to the fact that they had had a pokemon battle indoors. “Oh, sorry about your room White...” She said giving and apologetic look.

“It’s fine, Bianca.” She shrugged it off with her typical wide grin.

“I’m not sure your mother will have the same reaction.” Cheren said, being the killjoy of the situation (or the voice of reason. Same difference).

“Nah, she’ll be fine.” Black cut in. “ Remember that time Oslo flooded the kitchen? I got off pretty easy for that, and hell she was so proud he’d finally learned water gun she didn’t really care. And this is your first pokemon battle. Way bigger, she’s gonna be so proud.” He smirked at his his sister and friends, proud himself.

White looked contemplative for a second, then grinned. “Aren’t I supposed to be saying that to you? I am the big sister.” Black chuckled, and Bianca giggled. Cheren even smiled a bit, but then stopped.

“We should probably go apologize to your mother though, still.” He said.

“Yeah you’re right...” Bianca agreed, and they both went downstairs to apologize. Black walked over to his sister. In her arms she was holding an oshawott. She looked a little scuffed up, but the little thing was grinning happily.

“So, how’d it go?” Black asked her.

“It was awesome!” She said, ecstatic. “You interrupted me before we could fight Cheren, but we wiped the floor with Bianca and her tepig!” She kept grinning. Black realized that if Bianca got tepig and White had oshawott that would mean Cheren had snivy. Black couldn’t help but giggle a bit. It just fit him so well!

“This little girl have a name?” he asked.

“She’s a girl?” White looked surprised. “And no, want to help me come up with one?”

“Yes, and I’d be happy to.”
-------------------------------------------------
Eventually they decided on a name (Mazu), and headed downstairs. They found Cheren and Bianca still apologizing, and their mother still just shrugging them off. She insisted it was fine, and that was that. When they saw White and Black, Cheren explained how they had to go to see Juniper, and Bianca had to go tell her parents she was leaving.

Black had some degree of concern for his best female friend and went with her to talk to her parents, but when they got there she asked him to stay outside. He did, until he heard yelling and decided to go in.

“You’re not ready for this yet!” Her father yelled. He was a large man, overweight and muscled. Also, not exactly pleasant.

“Yes I am! I’m sixteen, and I have Pokemon with me and even if I mess up I have friends to help me!” She yelled back, and stormed out the door, grabbing Blacks arm as she left and pulled him out with her.

After a minute of walking Black asked “Are you okay?”

“Y-yeah. I’m fine. Come on, let’s go.” She said. He knew it wasn’t really okay, but he decided to leave it be. Sometimes you had to face your own issues. He knew that pretty well.
