Mwa! This is Ziyadai; a merman and the main character for a manga I am presently writing called "Hakari: Tip The Balance". This is the picture that goes on the cover of the book itself, and it actually looks pretty good printed out (believe it or not! ^-^). The poem above is a quote from the back sleeve.

Really beautiful.

Again, I thought he was a she. Nice coloring. The shine on his hair is really something. And the background... I dunno why and how, gives me a feel of depth. Really great job!

Good choice of colors, they match well together, and the coloring itself looks very soft... giving a certain smoothness to the picture (the lips especially seem very smooth... almost asking for a kiss, even). The reflections in the eyes are gorgeous, making the gaze seem very intent, determinated. Good lineart, also, the hair have a very nice way of flowing, conveying the feeling of being carried by water, softly floating... The reflections in the hair maybe look a little too much like chrome or something on the upper side of the head? But all in all, it looks like a fairly done job to me

Pretty boy! Lovely colors, great shading. All in all a good splash image. The lips look soft, eyes shimmering. Yep, love it.. want to kiss it or at least give it a good long hug.
