I also got the idea from Full House. I had no idea it was popular in Japan. Are there any other American live-action shows that are well-known over there?

I watched just “Full-House” and “ALF” at that time. But, other American dramas can also be seen on DVD and in a dubbed version being broadcast in Japan.
