Description
My first real try at 'fantasy art' or scales, or anything in this picture really. I think it went pretty well considering.I could never have done it without a reference, so I dug out an old figurine very similar to this one: [link] but without the metallic parts.
It's the first piece I have shaded and it's been better for it. xD

I love the detail in the scales o_o And the dimension the rocks have. It's easier to take in the detail now that its smaller res.

800-900 pixels wide is a rule of thumb I go by; if its any bigger I normally reduce it to that but keep download as an option. :3
