Description
Spring may be full of flowers and greenery, but it's also full of rain and mud.
I was sure to put both aspects into the frame and background of this piece to show the dueling sides of Spring. The character (Ebony) seemed fitting because I could see her out there squishing mud and throwing it at others. Troublemaker!

Adorable, even the mud. Her expression makes it clear that she's not upset about getting a little muddy at all. XD
I feel like the splotches of mud on the edges should have more shades in it like the mud on her boots. As it is, it's a little disconnected from the rest of the picture, because it's the only thing without that beautiful shading you've done.

Our spring (in CA) i slike our winter: Snow, false summer, snow, false spring, snow, rain, snow, SUN, snow...
They ordered tomatoes for the nursery about a month ago because it was nice weather, then they told everyone not to buy them because it was bound to snow again before too long. The customers who didn't listen came back the next week to tell them they were right, and ask if there were any more tomatoes for sale. Because they obviously didn't get the point.

A good art teacher can really help an artist get better. Internet tutorials and how-to-draw books do help, but I think being in an art class with other artists can be very helpful in improving.
