Description

♕Name: Alan Reiling
♕Age: 8
♕Year/School level: Year 1 ELEM
♕Birthday: January 14th

♕Role: []
♕Abilities: []
♕Rank: Class 3 Pawn

♕Personality: Rational, determinded, hard-worker, fast learner, pokerfaced, socially awkward, sensitive, coward, silent, blunt when angered*
Outside he might seem like a studious, serious kid, lacking expressions. If you don't show how you feel, it's harder for others to see your weaknesses and thus - hurt you, that was one of the things his parents enforced and with time he gained a complete pokerface. Listening to adults and doing what they ask you to - means they will treat you well and it will be easy to deal with them, that was one thing he learned on his own. On the backside of things - he seems like a robot to his peers, he neither smiles nor cries. But even if his face doesn't show how he feels, inside he is highly sensitive and minds very much what others think of him. Very subtle gestures and indirect signs give away his feelings, but those are hard to notice unless you know him really well. He fears being judged, so prefers staying silent, not revealing what he thinks, feels, likes or dislikes.
*Much to his own surprise he gets incredibly blunt, when anger fuels his speech.Things that make Alan really angry - seeing abuse of animals, things he likes (such as books, plushes) and people he likes.  (before coming to wonderland no one actually pissed him off so badly for a side like that to come out).

♕History:
Alan was born in a upper middle class family as an only child. From early childhood his parents paid a lot of attention to his education and hired various tutors to have Alan get in a prestigious elementary school. Alan learned easily and had no problem of getting in. Well, other than that - his parents didn't care for anything else, so that was the only thing Alan was valued for and what he got thought. They were too overprotective to let him out to play, so he basically had no contact with any kids his age till the age of 7.

When Alan started going to school he continued doing what he always had, studied what he was told to, but something was different. There were lots of kids his age and he had no idea how to interact with them. In the beginning some approached him with smiles and tried to converse, but their enthusiasm faded soon, seeing how Alan never smiled and kept a cool face at all times. At first Alan was at a loss of words and uncomfortable, then shy, then interested, but nothing of it showed on his face and some time later no one approached him anymore.

He wasn't bullied due to his height and intimidating look, but wasn't friends with anyone either and he was too afraid to reach out to anyone. During lunch breaks he felt incredibly lonely, but that got better once he discovered a small library at the top floor of his school - from that time on, he spent all his breaks there - reading storybooks and fairy tales. They talked of a wondrous worlds, where life was not a one-track road where how well you performed in studies influenced everything you could become. (At least that's how he saw this world, thanks to his parents teachings)

One time Alan's mother won a lottery ticket to Lewdell's Theme Park and, thinking it was a waste to not use it, took Alan there. After going on one ride the mother got nausea and father went to get some drinks. As Alan glanced in the bushes, he saw something almost out of a storybook. He said he'll go to a toilet nearby, but instead followed the peculiar thing and just moments later he fell.

♕Trivia:
<> Even if he has an opinion on something, unless he is asked in a clear manner he wouldn't say anything
<> Doesn't know how to deal with animals, including humans, so acts cautiously with them
<> As long as it doesn't concern relationships with others, he is fast to solve any problems and is good with finding solutions
<> He isn't very close with his family and has never had anyone with whom he could talk freely
<> Pretty bad with physical activities by default, except those being asked of him. Like, if you ask him to be able to do 100 push ups and give him time to prepare/train for it, he'll train of course, but at the get-go he'd fail miserably.
<> Bad with team activities and team sports, tends to do everything alone and doesn't trust others to do a satisfying work.
<> Generally dislikes being dependent on someone or something if something important is on the line.
<> Height - 130 cm (4'3'') - he was one of the tallest guys in his class.
<> Wears glasses, but only his right eye is impaired. Left lens on his glasses is simply glass.
<> Likes sweets and soft, cute things
<> Dislikes spicy and salty foods, bugs, snakes, frogs, snails and such.
<> Loves comedies and adventure stories/movies, but will read/watch them with a completely straight face.
<> Takes good care of his possessions, especially if he likes them. That's one way to see what he likes, his most prized possessions are clean and well kept.
<> When doing something he rather not do, he will take a very tiny pause before doing it, with things he likes - he'll dive in right away.

I can, but it will be super simple.

Randomly starts then, feel free to switch to another style if you want))

Alan was walking in the garden and carrying an old, thick book. He ducked down to pick a clover and firmly pressed it among the pages.

LOL ok))

Archie: He was out and about causing trouble and mischief as usual. Even the teachers weren't safe.. and usually was the prime victims to his pranks. Walking out into the garden, he pulled out his handmade balloon launcher, putting a balloon full of rotten milk into it. The child sneaked around bushes and hedges, trying to find someone to hit before spotting a child who just picked a clover. He aimed the launcher before letting the balloon fly out towards poor Alan....

Alan: Just as he closed the book, something soft hit his side and blew up. Stench of rotten milk spread on his shirt and pants. It didn't take long for him to understand it was a prank. Inside he was crawling in his skin, completely disgusted and angry, but outside he was as expressionless as ever. He slowly turned his eyes to the direction where the baloon came from and stared silently, coldly.

((dasokay))

Archie: He put the balloon launcher down as he peered to see the other's expression. Eh? = =' Not much of one. He shrugged, coming out as the other didn't seem like the type to hunt him down to give him a punch. He stretched, as he walked closer, stopping at a distance as he new the foul stench that would come off the boy pretty soon enough. ".........What are you doing?" He asked as if he didn't just launch a balloon of rotten milk at the boy. His handmade launch in his hand and dangling by his side.

Alan: "I was wondering who in world would do something so despicable to someone they didn't even know," he said coldly. "Do you feel satisfied now?" Alan asked, and checked the book. A splatter of milk had gotten on it as well, a glint of pain passed his eyes. He couldn't bear seeing a book damaged for no reason at all, he felt bitter in his chest.

Archie: He raised a brow. "Its only, 'spoiled'  milk." He hide his snicker at his own pun behind his hand. "..Yes. I do. " He grinned mischievously. He put his hands on his hips, "Why do you sound like a grown up anyways?" He asked out of curiosity, as he looked Alan up and down, mentally taking notes on him like he did with others and other things.

Alan: Never once in his life Alan had wished to punch anyone as badly as he wished to punch this guy. But he didn't, it was a waste of time to even try. "Go to hell," he said coldly and turned around to head back to the dorms. He didn't wish to deal with a jerk like this, right now he only wished to clean the book and hope there wouldn't be any smell left.

Archie: He was quite surprise at that. "Wha- wow.. " He stood there, not expecting to be cussed. "Sheesh... That's a little far. It's only milk.. it'll wash out." He grumbled, deciding to follow the kid, wonder what was wrong with him. It was a prank... He didn't know the book got hit or that Alan was upset about that as well.

LOL ITS COOL))))

Archie: His face collided with the book making the other yelp and hold his face as he took a few steps back. "Owow... " He sniffed, cringing in pain. Though his nose was ok it still hurt... He stood holding his nose for the moment, checking to make sure it wasn't bleeding.. just in case.

Alan: froze in place surprised by this accident and a fair chunk of his anger faded. He didn't mean to hit other, even if... other clearly deserved it... he felt bad about how little compassion he had. ''You can't wash books,'' he said pointing to a wet, stinky blotch on its cover. ''A dirty book can't be fixed easily, maybe you murdered it.'' He said it seriously, no one would normally pick to read a stinky book, if it can't be cleaned it might as well get thrown out.

Archie: He blinked.. his hands over his nose the whole time as he listened.... = =' Oh. This was over the stupid book. "..Well I didn't mean to hit the stupid book." He mumbled, before putting his hands on his hips with a sniff. His nose red. "Pfft. Can't kill a book. Here let met see it." He took the book from Alan without actually getting permission. He sniffed the place that got hit and flipped through some of the pages to see the damage. ".........Let it dry.. then put something strong smelling in it and let it sit and the smell should be gone. It may stay wrinkled but still looks readable! Sheesh. Simple as that.. if you really care about the book.. pretty sure there is another one just like it though.." He mumbled the last part handing it back. He was still being gentle with his touch despite his words in order not to piss the other off anymore. "Still no reason to tell me to go to hell. = =' " He huffed crossing his arms... still upset about it. His nose still hurt too.

Alan: *listening to other speak made his irritation come back, even if his face stayed as calm as ever. He took the book back and without saying anything turned around to head back to dorms. He thought he would probably never understand a person like this boy, someone with so little respect for things couldn't be a decent person. Replaceable or not, he felt things should be treasured and treated gently.*

((Even if Alan gets away (idk if your kid will let him :'D ) we can always time-skip to another encounter))

Archie: He frowned as the other didn't say anything. He puffed his cheeks out and followed Alan. "Why are you so adult like...?  = =' I expect an adult to react to me this way not a kid." He rubbed his nose again. It really did peak Archie's curiosity... and confused him.

Amg, that's cute :'D //my kid is being so angry, idk even, //sops//))

Alan: "Being a child is not synonyms with tolerating a disrespectful jerk, who makes you feel bad," he said and went inside the dorms, heading for the baths. He hated the stench coming from himself and he was annoyed by the fact that the cause followed so nonchalantly. Anger made him tell things he would have never normally said out loud. And by the minute he grew more pissed at himself as well, for not being able to stop feeling this way.

I did mean to prank but not hurt your feelings. Um.. = =' " Was that possible.. Archie didn't know.. it never was TOO much of a problem before.. at least no one told him... He scratched his head thinking about this.

(LMAO cute... it'll get annoying.. for Alan.. LOL and its ok.. Archie is suppose to piss people off... he's kind of use to it... )

Alan: "'Synonym' means 'the same as'," he explained and after arriving at bathrooms, checked one of the lockers where he had previously left his school uniform - it was still there. After confirming this, he carefully put the book on a table and took off his stinky clothes and threw them in with the dirty laundry. Other than the previous sentence he was behaving like the other guy wasn't there and headed to baths.

((I don't actually know if they have something like 'public baths' or 'private' ones, but since it's dorms there might be a common use one I hope. :'D ))

Archie: "Same as.." He took a moment to rephrase Alan's sentence before hand and frowned. "That's not what I was saying! Ah.. I'm asking why you act like an adult.. completely different!" He frowned hands on his hips.. he sighed as the other went to bath... Archie turned to wait outside. He wasn't finished talking to the other.... much to probably Alan's dislike.

Alan: He came out of the bathroom, fully dressed in the school uniform and now there was no trace of the rotten milk. Seeing that the other boy was still there, he clicked his tongue very silently giving away his feelings, even if otherwise his face was as calm as ever. He had hoped that other would have given up and left, so he could work on cleaning the book in silence. He picked the book back up, either way, and headed to the kitchen.

Archie: He sighed so bored as he waited and when the boy came out he grinned his mischievous grin. "You have not answered my question~" He was a persistent lad. He paid no mind to how the other felt as he wanted answers.. even if he had to follow Alan around and figure it out himself. He followed the other to the kitchen.

(PFFT first time he's been annoying to a kid.. he usually tries to be annoying like this to adults XDDDDD poor Alan.. XDDDDDDD)

Alan: "Which one of your questions?" he asked without looking at the other boy's direction. He put the book on the table and sprinkled a bit of baking soda on the cover - at the place where the rotten milk splatter was, then carefully rubbed it in.

He huffed as he sat on top of the table, crossing his arms and legs. He watched Alan fix the book. "What is the name of that book anyways?" He asked curiously. Still wondering why the other was so upset over it.

Alan: "What do you mean by 'adult'?" He took some citric acid and rubbed it over the baking soda - the splatter started foaming a bit and Alan cleaned the foam off  - with that the splatter was cleaned off. Alan picked it up and sniffed it - the smell was gone as well, the book now faintly smelled of lemon if anything. The turned the book around showing the cover to other '1001 Arabian nights' was the title.

Archie: He thought for a moment trying to explain it. "Well.. you know.. erm...Adults act.. uh... " He wasn't sure how to explain it even though he knew there was a clear difference in who they reacted. "Kids erm.. get upset differently.. erm... " He couldn't say yell because adults yelled at him too.. = A =' "uhhhhhhhhhh.......... " He didn't like this.. he didn't know how to explain it and it showed that it frustrated him. He huffed then glanced at the book cover, he narrowed his eyes trying to read it.. but he had no idea what that word was or meant.. "A... ra... bi...an?" He mumbled under his breath and waved it away. Then returned to the matter at hand! "...... Do you know how kids act differently then teacher? Like you reacted more like my teachers.. um... ughhhhhh" He flopped back on the table, hands on his face.. = ='

Alan: He patiently waited for the other to explain and put water to boil. ''Will you have tea?'' He asked like by the way, seeing the other flop on the table. Alan thought back on how kids behaved in comparison to adults, but he couldn't exactly tell what was so different. In the private school he went to many kids were dedicated and serious, so it didn't hit him how he was different. And he hadn't met many expressionless adults, so he couldn't point at that. ''Sorry, I'm still not sure what exactly you mean by 'adult' like, so I can't answer.'' Since the book was now clean, his anger had faded a fair bit, even if he still didn't find the other like-able.

" He sat up and sighed at Alan's answer ughhhh.. = =' Well maybe he can figure it out for himself if he observed Alan for a while. Archie was beginning to think the kid was just born this way. So many strange kids here. Like he was one to talk. "....ugh... = =' Maybe I can explain it better later." He jumped off the table and walked over to steal cookies from the cookie jar.

Alan: The water started boiling, so Alan turned it off and prepared some tea in a pot. He had tested out the dosage a couple of days back, so now he knew how much tea you need for one pot. After that he proceeded to slice a lemon and put the slices on a small plate. He noticed that the other boy was taking cookies, but he didn't consider that to be stealing - he was used to everything in kitchen being safe to take, so he thought nothing of it. Alan found two cups and set them on table and when tea was ready - poured it there. He put one slice of lemon in his own tea and a cube of sugar as well, leaving both sugar and lemons in reach, so the other boy could take them if he needed. He sat down and slowly sipped his tea without saying anything.

Archie: He turned back seeing the tea done. "Thanks." He took some honey from a cabinet and walked over, putting the cookies down on the table and pouring some honey and a sugar cube into his drink. He stirred it up and took a sip. He liked his tea really sweet.. like most things. "How do you know how to make tea?" He asked curiously.. anything except the recent cookie baking session he knew he had to ask for someone else to cook. The stove was too "dangerous" .... or so he was taught. He stuffed a cookie in his mouth being reminded of how Ashlynn and him had a tea party.. He swung his legs under his chair.

Alan: Alan eyed the amount of sweetness added to the tea, but didn't comment on it. It would have been too sweet for him, but he didn't find anything odd with others liking different things. ''I read the instruction and tried it a couple of times,'' Alan answered. Being a meticulously cautious guy, he hadn't run into any problems with stoves, even if for now all he had done with them was heating up milk and boiling water.

Archie: He blinked as he watched Alan eat the cookie so slowly. He raised a brow. "Eh.. why are you eating it like that?" He questioned tilting his head. This kid was weird.. not Oswald weird but.. strange to him none the less. He kicked his legs under his chair.. finishing his last cookie. He started drinking the rest of his tea.. accidentally spilling it a bit on the table.. He took a napkin wiping what little he spilled on the table.

Alan: He finished eating, then glanced at the other boy. "Like what? If you mean slowly, then it's because it's healthier that way and less chances of choking on food." He explained and sipped more of his tea. It was a like-able gesture that the other boy cleaned up what had spilled, but Alan didn't want to forget what the other had done before. It made very little sense why anyone would do something mean like that, but he wasn't sure if it's all right to ask about it. But then again, what harm would asking do. ''Can I ask you something?''

Archie: He tilted his head. Well.. he guess that.. made since.. but.. why so sooooo slowly? Of a cookie? He finished his tea deciding not to think about it. He let out a happy sigh as he finished it. "Hm? Sure." He responded, wondering what the other wanted to ask him.. and agreeing to it.. as it seemed fair. Archie did ask the kid a lot of questions himself. = v ='

Alan: Alan nodded slighly at the reply and paused a bit. "Why exactly did you throw that milk at me? What was your expected result?" These things seriously made no sense to him, and no matter how he looked at the other kid, he didn't quite seem to be as malicious and mean as he seemed to be from such an action.

He was just a mischievous soul.. he loved to prank and trick others.. not to be mean but to see if he could do it. If he was clever enough to pull somethings off.. though granted most of his tricks only requires timing..

He crossed his arms, leaning back. He didn't like to think that anything he could do was awful in a way. He liked pranks, loved them.. pranks and puzzles... He wasn't sure what he liked about pranks but it was more for the sense of tricking in a sense.

Alan: "Being considerate of others' feelings does not count as being an adult," Alan noted, if that was what the other meant by 'adult', then it was simpler than he thought it was. ''Pranks such as - you pretend to be a chair, when someone sits on you - you grab them from behind. Or hide in a box and when someone comes, you jump out. Glue a picture of a monster to the other side of looking glass. Make a fake head-in-a-jar and put it in a fridge... things like those. Bound to give a pretty decent fright, aren't they?'' Alan had once read a book about 500 pranks to pull on friends, now he simply recited some of those, even if he had never tried to prank anyone himself.

I like that idea..."  He noted for later before sighing... "Ughh... You make pranks sound boring. = =' And you haven't lived with my brother.. pranks go further than that.." He scratched his head.

Alan: Strangely enough he wasn't hurt by being called weird by the other boy. Normally he would and he was surprised why he wasn't, usually even complete strangers could easily hurt him by saying something like that. He mused it must be because he found the other unreasonable and thought of the other as weird himself. "I rather do something boring, than end up hurting others." He said, clearly indicating that what other did, did exactly that - hurt others. He wasn't all that interested to know what the other boy's brother did, suspecting it was something mean.

Each child is different, so it would be fine nevertheless as long as they stay IC :'D ))

Archie: He huffed his cheeks out. Still not believing what he did was harmful. "...I don't always do the balloon thing! I  do other pranks. Even had fun in a messy one! u 7 u " He wanted to argue like he did his parents and teachers.. which didn't help him see Alan any less adult like..Or what Archie considered adult like.

LOL i know but how to make flawed/childishlogic LMAO )

Alan: He sighed. This got him nowhere, for a while he thought about giving up, but since the other didn't seem like going away, he might as well try another thing. "Do you get angry at others without a reason?"

By creating dogmas. :'D Children often think that adults are a different team from them and since adults often tell kids to 'keep quiet' and 'don't do *include a super fun thing here*', they mistakenly start to believe adults are conspiring to not let them have fun. Also, most adults never bother to actually reason with kids to find out where the problem is. Like Archie, most kids either don't really realize they are causing harm, OR they consider that their harmful actions are 'right' or 'fair'. (the second constitutes as bullying and comes from the fact that the some person is bothering them/making them feel bad/making them feel weird. (reason why kids often bully kids, 1)who are better at studying or better than them in anything actually, 2)weird and poor kids, since they stink or act disgusting sometimes, 3)different kids, since they make no sense to them and they don't actually want to try thinking in a different perspective; they make them confused, 4)their crushes, since it's Obviously their fault, that they are so amazing so you can't stop thinking about them.)
Most kids are actually reasonable, if you take time and work with them, but it can take a looooot of time, especially if you are adult or from a different team (such as gender differences).

Lol, information wall. Well, at least that's what I consider when I make and RP child characters. (And I have a bunch of them :'D Some of them bullies, some - plain mean, Alan actually also has quite a few dogmas when it comes to adults also the 'conspire not to let kids have fun' dogma and some others too) //Well, that's if you really asked a question, not... rhetorical question, that didn't require an answer.

Archie: He tilted his head at the question. "No? Why would I be angry at others without a reason!?" He asked with a raised brow... not taking in account how he dislikes teachers so easily. He was awful when it came to them. = v =' He put his arms on the table, kicking his legs back and fourth.

Archie: He blinked. Why was he asking this? He thought about it. "Losing? Being out... smarted?" He rubbed his chin in thought. He was't really sure as all he knew is that he felt angry.. when he's angry. "Why?"
