Description Wonder Woman Redesign. Pulled inspiration from a few artists to make this version. I always seem to be intimidated do draw her. Maybe its because I struggle to find that 'look' for her that's 'my' look, ya know? All and all, I think I got it as close right FOR ME as possible.

Love this costume redesign, it looks very warrrior type, I wish DC used this instead of panties.

And the irony is that her panties/hot pants....are still THERE! At the time I drew this, all I did was add the dress/toga detail. And I simply embraced the armored boutice

Maybe people would be able to take wonder woman seriously if she looked more like this great job!!!

It is! I took the idea from Cliff Chiang from issue 7 (I think) where he had it tied into her hair. I believe his thoughts were, since the rope was magic, it could lengthen or shorten itself.

I personally think its a great look and smart detail on his part....enough to incorporate it into my own.

I completely understand what you mean about being intimidated to draw her. I love how yours turned out, you've pretty much nailed what my own head has said she should look like.

Thank you! I really appreciate it! She's a tough one to get right, but I think Cliff Chiang talked about adapting her to his style that made you see Lee's design with Chiang's look that helped me over the hump.

...but she's STILL intimidating!!

i loved the issue where she has her hair like that too. this is really nice. i like the little details like the embellishment on the shoulder strap

Thanks! Yeah small details like that really bring it all together. For me, it tells me she has the ability to use that strap as an add-on point, if she wanted like an armor shoulder plate or something. I'm weird like that

I kind of love this, actually. The boots make *sense*. The outfit is both formal & battle-ready. Hair up, out of the way (a big gripe of mine). Sword at the ready.

A lot of these details I pulled from other people like Ming Doyle and obviously, Cliff Chiang. IMO, WW should have a classic 'old world' look to her, with a few modern twists, like she's bridging from old to new. If that makes any sense!

This would be great as an alternate for the New52 version, I specially like the hair and the face is excellent, almost as if it was inspired from a classical greek sculpture.

Thanks! I took that look from Cliff Chiang's look for her in WW 8, I think. According to him, that version that showed up in Issue 8 was suppose to be her new looks prior to the New 52.
