Another Japanese mythology OC.
This one is based off the komainu, which is a lion dog that guards shrines.
This dog (it doesn't have a name yet...) fends off evil spirits by scaring them off with it's taiko drum's loud noises. - instead of beating the drum, the dog can bark the sound of the drum.
It also can strike small sparks of lightening if the drumming sound gets too loud, but is nothing compared to the lightening strikes of Raijin (The god of thunder).
The kanji on the papers around his neck is "守" - meaning protect/guard/defend/etc.
