                                            Stichie
                                            Part four
About a week after the attack I was lying in bed peacefully when I was woken up to a large crash coming from the kitchen. Still groggy I sat up and wiped the sleep grit out of my eyes then on wobbly legs got up to go get changed. I opened the door to my closet and saw that my dress was gone. Huh I thought unusual I went over to my bed and pulled my suitcase out from under it.
I pulled a spare dress out of it and put it on. As I was closing the case something caught my eye. I reached in and pulled it out. It was a beautiful gold rimmed picture of me and my dad, and on the back was a note. It read,
“To my dearest Wisty, I am so sorry that I was unable to save your mom, but she insisted that I save you above all else. I tried to stop it but I was too late, something killed her and tried to attack us. It bit you and now you have an ugly scar on your right wrist.” I paused there then looked, he was right. I did have a scar there but it was far from ugly. In fact I thought it looked more like a heart. I shook my head then kept reading.
“, anyway I just wanted to say that she loved both of us very much you especially I just wanted to be clear on that. Just know that all that I did was to protect you even what I have done to you now. I am so sorry but later when I thought about it I realized that I had made a mistake you should have died in that car crash. I should not have tried to play god. Again I apologize for this and for making you look like a teenage Frankenstein. Goodbye my dear I love you.”
I put the picture down and sobbed. So I thought that’s what happened my mother was killed by something. I wiped away my tears and then went downstairs. I heard crashing noises and saw shards of glass spew out of the doorway. I heard two very familiar voices.
“Oh come on, just a kiss I promise I’ll leave you alone.”
“No you won’t! Get off me ACK! Stop it! You’re crushing my ribs! let me go!”
“No, never, I’ll never let you go!”
“Go away!” I saw them both run out of the kitchen it was Jeff. In hot pursuit of him was Eva who was wearing my missing dress. I giggled as I watched them go then went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for everybody. I was making the apparent all-time favorite of the house blueberry pancakes with; eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, French toast, and all the other breakfast-like foods. Including; coffee, orange juice and milk.
As the smell wafted through the house I could hear all of the others beginning to stir. Slendy was first followed closely by a very sleepy looking Masky who was still in his boxers I blushed. Both of them sniffed the air then sat down to help themselves.
“Enjoy guys, I made plenty.” It was still weird being able to talk but I was grateful to Slendy for finding the necklace which allowed me to communicate.
“I think we just might.” He said as he picked up one of the sausages and popped it into his mouth. Very quickly the table filled up and everybody began to eat. After they were all done I took a seat to rest when Slendy ordered me to his side. I immediately jumped up like I had never been tired and walked up to him. He bent down and looked me in the eye.
“Stichie how long have you been with me and my family?” I thought for a minute.
“Almost two years now, Sir.”
“And you have never been on a mission?”
“No Sir.” He looked at me thoughtfully.
“Well then I shall just have to change that. Masky!”
“Yes Sir.”
“Go get changed then take Stichie out into town.”
“Are you sure she’s ready?” I could understand his caution, but I was so excited that I could have just hugged him to death.
“Pardon me for asking,” he looked at me “But what is it we’ll be doing and how will I blend in with the humans?” he snaps his fingers and I feel myself changing I look down and find my stiches disappearing. When it was done I looked in the kitchen mirror and gasped I looked just like a human girl. As I was marveling at my new body he explains that we will be going into town to hunt down a notorious murderer who is wanted for several crimes.
After he was done explaining everything we both travel down to the old well where Hoodie was waiting with a message saying that he was to accompany us on our trip. We just exchanged a glance then nodded.
“All right then let’s get on with it.” Hoodie jumps down the well after throwing a piece of paper down it. Masky jumps next. I wait a minute because I wanted to be sure that he had made it. I take a deep breath exhale then leap into the well. It felt really weird I could still breathe but the air hitched in my throat and it took a long time to reach the bottom.
I flew out of the well straight into Masky’s outstretched arms and we both fall to the floor. I coughed a bit then got up and looked around we were in the middle of the woods behind a small house that looked about as ancient as the well itself. Inside the house we find an envelope with the letter S stamped in wax on it. Masky picks it up and opens it.
It was a picture and description of who we were after. Apparently his name was Luke and he had murdered fifteen people mostly young women. My eyes blazed with fury. I didn’t even know him and he already gave me the feeling of anger and hatred. I wanted him dead, though I didn’t know why quite yet.
After we had been briefed on our mission we all went our separate ways. Masky went left Hoodie went right I took the middle path on account of the fact that Masky had told me to. It was kind of fun, though we were looking around we had no luck. The guy was either gone or dead. I assumed that he was dead after all he had been like fifty the last time anybody had seen him. I told Masky and Hoodie this but they didn’t listen and insisted that we kept searching.
Hours later I found myself being drawn towards a dark alley by the sound of a woman screaming. I ran towards the sound and saw three big buff guys. They had cornered her and stabbed her. I leapt on the back of the biggest one and plunged my knife deep in his neck his screams chocked off with a gurgle and he fell to the ground dead blood pouring from a hole in his throat.
The other two turn their attentions to me and I see that one of them has a gun. He smiles then fires it at me multiple times. He misses them all and before he can reload I land a solid kick right to his gut. He goes down with a grunt, but before I can turn around the third guy grabs me and throws me off his friend. I skid backwards then leap into the air before I come down on top of his comrade snapping his spine in two.
I laugh like a maniac avoiding the slashes of the large knife the last guy had. As I was about to win he lunges right at me and slams me against the brick wall I hear my head crack and feel the blood ooze down the side of it. As I lay there the guy makes his move and stabs me right in the shoulder. I was still crazed so I didn’t feel the pain. Instead I laughed and snapped off the blade which was still stuck in my shoulder.
The guy screams then backs away slowly. I walk towards him with my knife in my hand when I was just a few feet from him. I spoke.
“Now, don’t take this personally,” I hold the knife to his throat.” But I just can’t stand the likes of you.” I bring the knife up then slash at him cutting his head almost off. I turn to the woman and pick up her purse. As I go to give the purse back she says something that makes my blood run cold
”What are you?” I freeze and take a closer look at the woman. She has short brown hair brown eyes and freckles. She wore all black with a dark green vest over her shirt. A tear falls down my face as I realize that I didn’t know what I was.
“That depends on what...” I was dimly aware of a large object hitting me in the face and a crushing force to my skull before I blacked out. I heard the woman scream again just before my body tuned everything out.
When I woke up I saw that both me and the woman had been bound and gagged and were slung over the shoulders of two more brutes. I tried to ask a question but I found that I couldn’t speak. My necklace was gone. I felt blood still oozing from the stab wound where the broken blade was still embedded. I had an idea, as slow as I could I wiggled one of my hands free and grabbed it.
I gently pulled it out, and felt my flesh tear with it. Serrated edge I thought. Though the girl was gagged I could still hear her muffled sobs. I looked at her and caught her eye. Don’t worry I thought I will get us out of here safely, I promise. I removed the gag and smiled, then cut the bindings that held me. I was about to stab the man who had me when I heard a voice.
“So what have you brought me today gentlemen?” they set us down on the ground.
“But what’s this there were five of you where are the other three?” one of the brutes picks me up by the back of my shirt and lifts me up.
“This girl killed them sir.” His head is down so I know that this guy definitely means business.
“Then, either this girl is a witch or I hired pathetically weak henchmen, and more than likely it’s the latter of the two!” I struggle and thrash but the man’s hold is firm. Their boss steps into the light and now that I could see him clearly I realized that this man was the one that we were after. I stand up and take a step forwards but before I can take another I hear a click, and feel the cold steel of a gun being pressed to the back of my head.
“Very impressive if you were able to take out three of five why were you caught by me of all people? Hmmm I wonder?” he strokes his chin thoughtfully. I could see it in his eyes he knew we were witnesses to his crimes so he couldn’t just let us go. He looks at me again and I knew he had made his decision.
“Kill them,” he kicks me, “But start with this one.” He backs away as the man with the gun backs up a couple feet. He points the gun directly at me. I squeeze my eyes shut waiting for the brief moment of pain. I hear the bang but feel nothing. I open one eye and saw my whole world fall apart as I saw the boy who had positioned himself in such a way that he had taken the bullet. It was Masky.
No, I thought the horror soon overriding the instinct to curl up into the fetal position. He collapses into my arms and I cry. He moans then hands me my knife.
“Got your message.” He grins he’s going to need a new mask. I thought as I noticed that his mask had been broken in almost two and that a large chunk of it was missing revealing one of his eyes that were the color of sapphires.  The girl runs up to us and asks if were both alright I place Masky’s head on her lap so that he won’t be jostled and stand to face the attackers.
To my surprise they’re gone. I turn to help the woman with Masky when I see that the girl is crying and clutching Masky tightly to her chest.
‘Please, don’t die. You can’t die. I need you Masky. You were the best friend I’d ever had.” I lean down and place a hand on the girls shoulder she looks up at me and I could see it there in her eyes she was begging me to save him but what could I do? I got my answer when I remembered something that Zalgo had taught me when I was serving as his proxy.
It had been a ritual to summon him if I was in danger or needed help. Quickly I picked up a piece of jagged metal and drew a circle in the dirt I then slashed open my hand and let my blood drip into the center, Masky watches with wide eyes as he realizes what I am about to do.
“Don’t you do it! No, no, please Stichie don’t sacrifice yourself for me!” his pleas bore into my head causing me to question what I was about to do, but my resolve was only strengthened when I saw him cough up blood, and also because the blood in the center of the circle had begun to smoke.
A thick plume of black smoke was materializing from the burning blood. I heard a deep voice come from it as two bright red eyes appeared.
“Who dares to summon the all-powerful Zalgo?” he looks down at me and a grin spreads across his face.
“Ah, Stichie I see the enchantment has worked. No matter, what do you want child?” I take a deep breath and step forwards.
“I wish to make a deal with you.” He laughs. Maybe this was a mistake.
“You want to make a deal with me? Usually it’s the other way around. All right what is it you want? Do be specific, and quick.”
“I want you to heal Masky,” he stops me.
“Why should I help you?”
“Look, I don’t have any money, but I don’t care what you take as long as it’s from me.” I fall to the ground and cry. He just calmly waits for me to pull myself together.
“Very well, just know that my prices are really high, but this is what I’ll do. If I heal the boy, you must swear that you will become my loyal Servant. No one in the mansion will remember you and you can never set foot in the mansion again,” His grin grows wider. “Or the deal will reverse on itself and everything will go back to normal and he will die.” He chuckles with delight.
“Do you still want to seal the deal?” I ponder this for about a minute when I hear the girl scream. I look back and see that Masky is coughing up even more blood than he should. I panic.
“Yes, I accept just please save him!”
“Very well then.” He holds out his gigantic red hand.
“Take my hand and the deal is struck.” I reach out and see Hoodie run up to Masky. He was panting he understood as soon as he saw me with Zalgo. I couldn’t wait any longer I grabbed Zalgos hand and everything went dark.
When I woke up I saw that I was in a room that I did not recognize I got up and realized that a thick steel chain had been fastened to my wrist. Does he keep all of his proxies locked up like this? I thought, I tried to talk but remember that he had taken the necklace and broken it. I could never speak again.
I heard a small click and the door opened to reveal a menacing looking Scarecrow. She was carrying a large box. With a look of utter hatred she drops the box and tells me to open it after she leaves. I nod and she relocks the door. I rush to the long box and open it only to see that inside was my stuff from the mansion.
All of it was here including the picture of me and the girls on the day I left on the mission that had led to this. I curl up on the hard metal bed and cry. I knew I shouldn’t have taken the deal, but I couldn’t just let him die, not when there was something I could do. Slendermans mansion, Zalgos castle, I don’t belong to either. I only belong to myself, and nobody can say otherwise. I only have one regret and that’s the fact that I’ll never get to see any of you again. Especially you girls I’ll miss you the most. So much for ferocity. I thought.
Hours later I hear a thunderous voice boom throughout the mansion. It was my new master Zalgo. He barges into my room a minute later and throws something onto me. It was a red dress that had a lot of orange and yellow ruffles with a matching red chocker. I look at him and he sees my confusion.
“We are going to the council room where we will be meeting the other rulers of the other realms,” he looks at me and sees the expression of sorrow on my face. “Yes all of their proxies will be there, but I want mine to stand out.”
He places something heavy in my hand. I look down and see a hot pink diamond brooch in the shape of a rose with an emerald stem. I look at him and see that he is wearing a very expensive red tuxedo with a plain black tie. Behind him I could see that all of the girls wore the tightest looking dresses I had ever seen and all of the boys wore tuxes that were probably just as expensive as Zalgos. When he deemed us ready he opened a portal that led straight outside the council room where he told us to be on our best behavior. Or else.
When we arrived to the council hall we were released from the chains. Zalgo told us to go socialize with the other proxies. Scarecrow and the others including Clyde all went off to speak with the other proxies present I however, went over to a large rock, climbed it and sat down on top of it careful not to ruin the dress. I sat there for hours like that when I felt someone come up behind me. I turned and felt my heart sink.
It was Sophie and with her was Sally. They both wore very frilly dresses and had their hair in pigtails which made their features stand out. They came up to me and I flinched as they traced the stich lines on my very exposed skin.
“I like your hair, it’s so pretty. I wish mine was that long, but daddy won’t let me grow it out.” I looked back and saw that it was Sophie who had said that. A tear formed on the corner of my eye and I quickly wiped it off. No, I can’t think of them even though it hurts to know that they’ve forgotten me. The girls left after a while and I jumped down from the rock only to land on someone else. Why me?
I look down and find that it’s Masky.
“Ow, that really hurt,” he gets up then turns to me. “Watch where you’re going next time and…” he stops when he sees the tears flow down my face. “Hey are you ok? Look I’m sorry if I made you cry please stop.” I see Jeff come up and fling one arm around Masky. He was laughing like a hyena.
“Way to go Masky, you really know how to talk to a lady don’t you?” I take a few steps back unsure how to respond to that statement when Masky turns in my direction. I blush one thing is for sure, he looked really good in the tux he was wearing. I feel the cold steel of the invisible chain as it forms around my wrist and knew that the council was over. As I turn to leave I see Eva run up to Jeff and try to hug him.
“Crap, get away from me. Why is it always me your after why not him?”
“Because though he looks cute I like you better.” She smiles at me then excuses herself to pursue Jeff. I turn around and begin to walk towards the way the chain pulls me. When I arrive I find that everybody else has already gotten there and that Zalgo is already waiting. He looks very angry. He opens the portal that led back to the castle, and everyone climbs through it except me. Zalgo had to almost drag me through it.
When we were back at the castle he tells Scarecrow to take me back to my room and keep me there while he decides what to do with me. We get there a little after midnight and she shoves me onto the bed before she locks the door. I change into my original dress and hang the frilly one on a hanger in the small closet in the corner of my room.
I climb into bed and was ready to go to sleep when I felt a hand clamp over my mouth, and a voice whisper in my ear.
“Shhh, I know who you are and what you’ve done. I am here to take you back.” The man climbs out from under the bed and I gasp. He was very large and very strong. I knew this because he grabbed me and shoved me into a big burlap sack after he bound and gagged me. I thrashed but it was no use he was stronger than I had thought. I had to tell him to let me go but I couldn’t talk at all.
I was jostled around for what felt like hours before I was rudely dropped to the ground. The top of the bag was opened and I was pulled from it. After being set on the ground I felt a knife slash the bindings. I ripped off the gag and looked around. The man was still here but so was Olivia and Smile dog, which immediately ran up to me and licked my hand as I bent down to pet him.
Olivia hugged me tight as she explained that she saw everything on that night exactly two days ago and had been stalking me ever since. I was a little creeped out but was ecstatic all the same. I was curious though I thought that Zalgos deal was that everyone at the mansion would forget about me. Strange I thought.
“Yes, we were all supposed to forget and most of us did but we weren’t in the mansion at the time so the spell didn’t affect us at all.” I realized then that even Zalgo made mistakes he had said in the mansion but had said nothing about those outside of it. They were immune. Olivia comes up and hands me a new necklace that she said her friend had made. I put it on and was able to speak once more.
“Much better, I thank you for trying, but I can’t go back because the deal will end and Masky will die.”
“No he won’t, we took him to a human hospital which healed him before all of this.”
“What do you mean?”
“Zalgo tricked you he made everyone in the mansion including Masky forget but he didn’t heal him at all.” I had been duped and it infuriated me so much that I took my anger out on a small tree that had been planted nearby.
When I was done I took a deep breath then pointed to the man.
“By the way, who is this?” the man was very large but also looked like he might snap at any moment and I had no desire to be there when he did.
“Oh, this is Hunter don’t worry he won’t hurt you unless I say so, now come on we need to get going.”
Olivia grabs my arm and tries to pull me in the direction of the mansion. I was really unsure if what she was saying was true so I didn’t move. Eventually she got tired and had Hunter pin my arms behind me and march me towards the mansion. We arrived hours later but I was now thrown over Hunters shoulder.
He sets me down right in front of the door and Olivia tries to push me inside.
“Come on what will it take for you to trust me and realize that this will fix everything?”
“Why do you hesitate?” I look up into Hunters mahogany brown eyes and tremble.
“Because I’m scared, scared that it won’t work and that all of this will have been for nothing.”
“Well you won’t know unless you try.” I could understand Olivia’s frustration. I heard Hunter softly whisper in my ear.
“Would you not kill to be back here among friends instead of being held captive by enemies?” I thought about this he was right I was desperate to come home to be back with the girls and all of my friends, but I didn’t want to put their lives at risk. Hunter was right I had to do this; no, I needed to do this.
Slowly and cautiously I make my way up the steps of the giant mansion that could be my end, or my salvation. As I turn the doorknob I begin to think. What was I doing? I had just made a deal with Zalgo. if I broke it he would be so angry would he not?
I decided I didn’t care. I pulled the door open and stepped inside immediately everything went black and I heard Zalgos voice.
“No! You traitor. I will kill you the next time we meet Stichie!” I giggled
“No you won’t because I’ll kill you first.”
When I woke up all seemed normal except for one thing. I wasn’t in my room but the couch. I saw Jeff come in eating a bag of potato chips and drinking a soda. I knew exactly how to test if this was real.
“Hey Jeff, Eva’s right behind you.” His eyes widened and soda spewed from his nose as he gagged on a chip then turned around. Yep I was home and I wanted to be nowhere else.
