The beholder was too busy planning against laser wielding dinosaurs to think someone would just walk in

Yes they are but they usually recover first and I die. I swear all GMs are evil at heart.

Well, it would be,... if those darn "adventurers"/home-invasion robbers wouldn't keep sticking those pointy sword things into them...

Nice one. How about, 'The eyes have it'? Naw. Yours is better.Β So, if the beholder has vision problems, does he have to get glasses for all of them? Or just monocles?

Tentacular eyestalks with eyebrows. Maybe during certain times of the year? Or on full moons?

Probably monocles

Agreed. Monocles. Glasses would be too much of a spectacle.

So much love for this. As an old gamer I have such love for old creatures like Beholders, Rust Monsters and Owl Bears. Done a couple of toon pics of them. So need to do more.

Yes, dungeon crawlers are essentially buglers breaking in to a monsters home, killing it, and taking its stuff.
Unless they're going into a tomb or ruins or something, at which point they're grave robbers.
