Description Work in progress of my build of the Bracers worn by Edward Kenway in the upcoming AC4lack Flag game.
Working with the lighter more flexible 3/4oz. Milled Veg-Tan and 4/5oz. Veg-Tan shoulder cuts. Perfected the dye color on the Holsters and vest so these should be ready soon for updated pics of construction and dying.

**UPDATE:6/27/2013**
I've "layered" the normal veg-tan onto the flexible milled to stiffen the bracer in key locations while leaving other areas to remain flexible. I've one or two thoughts about how i would have done this differently so far. 1: I could have used two solid pieces of the Milled sandwiched around a "Bag Stiffener" that is only in the areas where stiffness is needed. 2: I might have sewn the regular veg-tan to the Milled wrist-joint before lining the back with a overall-covering piece of Milled...thus hiding the wirst-joint sew line I'm going to have.
Still need to figure out how the sleeve at the elbow is going to function and attach.

**UPDATE:8/26/2013**
After a bit of casual-wear I've determined that the lining piece at the wrist joint on the inside needed to go entirely. It ended up to stiff and wouldn't bend easily so I unstitched it and tore it out...was really only there for cosmetic anyway and I'm preferring function over aesthetic for the inside/unseen bits.
Still ignoring the sleeve bit...i'll get there eventually.

**UPDATE: 11/6/2013**
Game is out and so is the GameStop prop. I had to pick one up just to see and compare ... and if need be, revise. Still a bit of work needed on my version. Also, I have issues with the "leather" part of the bracer and suspect a fabric crafter designed it. The "edge wrap" around the cuff is something a fabric would need because the weave might unravel...Leather doesn't have a weave. and would probably tare like perforated paper if sewn that tightly or close to an edge. Also, forgot my dye mixture i used for the outer part when dying the blade-mount piece...hence the color variation. Oh well, still pretty comfy and functional. Perhaps a ground up restart...
