Installment 4 of O-pie. I realize that most (if not all) of you won't be able to make much sense of the construction of some of these ships. To be honest, by this time I was just trying to fill the comic section of the newspaper with cool drawings.
Hopefully, you'll at least get some ideas from these.Later on I'll try and do an actual in-depth tutorial on perspective drawing and drawing machines.
On a side note, you're probably thinking, "wtf no boobs??" Yeah, I can draw machines, too. :3
Oh and for those who are wondering, Octopies #15 and #16 don't have perspective guidlines in 'em 'cause I didn't think to leave them in. Afterwards, I figured it'd be a good idea to leave the guidelines visible so people could get a better idea of where I started from.

Okay, between the Silvergun and the Ikaruga, you obviously have a good taste in shmups. Awesome drawings as well, did you take much time to reference these or was it all from memory?

I wouldn't even know how to begin thinking about planning on considering how to design any aircraft... I'm pretty impressed, though I can't comprehend even the layout of the perspective grid.

I love Numbers 18 and 19, they are my favs, dont get em wrong the rest are awesome aswell, i just like them more because you used a grid much like doing a perspective drawing, which i did in architecturein high school, anyway. these are some awesome planes, i'll prolly get to work on fighter jets just like drawings 18 and 19 when i complete boot camp for the navy. cant wait!!!!

Have you considered leaving little notes in the white space of each panel to describe what you're doing? That'd be an easy way to make certain that everyone is following along
