Facials only work if:
1. They are correctly labeled.
2. The motion actually used the facial.

Do you happen to know anything about making sliders for moving spas around like you would make texture sliders? I have a texture I need to change multiple colors, but the nature of the texture would make it nearly impossible to just make multiples of the same color on one image to do it the usual way... so I was hoping to do that with the spa in pmx editor, if you have any ideas...

"[L]eft ... the way they were intended," does that mean I cannot edit for motion or effect compatibility (e.g. adding arm IK bones or running the Collapse effect script on the model) even if I don't redistribute, don't change the appearance of the model, and give proper credit to you? I don't want to assume the answer, 'cause I know that'll come back to bite me in the ass.

Bones, effects, physics stuff like that is fine.
I just dont want the appearance of the model to change like toons, spas, parts, textures

How would you like this resolved?
a. Remove this version of the tutorial and substitute with another model.
or
b. Post an amendment emphasizing your 'no edit' rule.
I will leave the final decision to you and leave it at that.

I would greatly appreciate option B.
Thank you for being so kind and sorry if I caused any trouble.

Actually, I owe you an apology. I should have asked for your permission and opinion on the use of this edit before publishing it. So for whatever it's worth: I'm sorry.
I have added an amendment to the comments that accompanies this tutorial in line with 'option B'. But within the context of this posting I just wish to re-emphasize that I fully respect your 'no edit' stance and appreciate your gracious handling of this situation.
Cheers.

Ignore my last comment. I misread what you wrote. To make the model go all black (the term is 'silouette') simply requires that all materials and texture bases be set to 'black'. This is done using the same controls as shown in this tutorial, ie. a materials facial.

The use of this SPA file is simply plain wrong. People don't have skin that illuminate as indicated by the use of this SPA file. But whatever ...
