Description
Ferrari 412 P
The customer "client" version of the famous and legendary 330P3 Race Car which dominated the French circut of
"Circut de la Sarthe" next to the badassery filled Porsche 917K .
Like many famous Le Mans, Grand Prix series competition cars of the time, the P3 Ferrari was
technologically advanced in terms of both design and engineering. (Mechanical Components)
A super-famous and hardcore race car which made its scene and glorious racing debut in the late 60s (1969)
Followed by a super hardcore legendary 250 GTo, the 166 Inter Mille Miglia (100 mile Italian race)
and of course, the Willy Mairesse / John Surtees Ferrari 250 P heading for victory at the 1963
1000 km Nurburgring series.
The 412 P and related 330 P3/4 and P4 models weren't eligible for the International Championship
of Makes in 1968 as their engines were too large for the new 3 litre Group 6 Prototype category
and too few examples had been built to allow homologation for the 5 litre Group 4 Sports Car
category which required production of at least 50 units. Ferrari did not contest the championship
for a year in protest.
Four 412 Ps were built in total.
If there was a production version for this vehicle, I would certainly buy it without a second hesitation
if I had the dough for this ultra hyper performance automobile from Modena, Italy.
This one took about 8 hours to do. Some details and the nice sheet of red color via red plasma markers
was a bit of a stretch to execute but in all, I guess the details came out nicely in the long end.
