"DUTCH CAR PORNOGRAPHY" is what I like to call this beauty.Not only was this badass concept car ahead of many other cars during the same era in terms of technology, it's radical ad sleek styling was truly dramatic for its time
Unveiled at the '68 Geneva Motor Show, the 'Siluro' (Torpedo in Italian) Concept designed by Giovanni Michelotti, based on the DAF 55 Coupe, featuring a 1108cc, Water Cooled 43bhp Inline 4-cyl engine, along with DAF's unique Variomatic Transmission.
All done in black pen and markers and took 4 hours to do

bu can you tell me why it severely lacks power? I mean, why the hell would DAf want to put in a 1.1 L engine on this magnificent beauty? The Kia Picanto SLX has bigger engine capacity than this and of course, it produces A LOT more power than the Siluro (94 bhp)

Hey, don't forget that the DAF Variomatics can go just as fast in it's reverse as going forwards I bet a Picanto can't drive 145 km/h in it's reverse

There yah go! The epic Siluro which belongs to the DAF museum now
Did you know that this baby used to stand in Michelotti's backyard for years? When he died was the car bought by a German whosale dealer who sold it to the DAF museum.Β
It took the museum a couple of years to restore the car to it's former glory, and,,,, I've seen it during the AutoRAI in Amsterdam back in 2005 at the stand of the national DAF owners club!
