Description
Just some concept work that I decided t throw up. The first of two (hence the "1"). Its basically just some fictional military designs from a large story that I have saved in the back of my mind for a little later in my career. Its the only one that I've bothered to do significant world building in hence concept stuff like this.There are a bunch of countries but only two are considered world powers: Cydonia, and Ulvaria (yes I am aware Cydonia is a region on Mars in real life). These are the designs from the People's United Army of Cydonia or (PUAC) from left to right: Officer, Solider, General.
Out of the two countries, Cydonia is a lot older, thus with a lot more traditions and customs, even in its armed forces: like female Generals having to shave most of their heads, and Veteran Officers not being able to become full Generals until they've killed an enemy with their sword in battle (meaning every General at one point in time either ran out of bullets or simply threw their gun aside and hacked someone in two). But I'm not going to bore you with all those details.
Just enjoy some art that isn't comics, and behold the product of my unhealthy obsession with military outfits.

I can respect the concept that any general in the Cydonian military are either brave fools or lucky idiots. Also, I can only imagine what the chief officer of their supply corps had to do to get his senior officer billet.

Every time I look at the soldier I think he's wearing a short sleeves short. These are cool concepts, but why is it a rule that female officers shave off most of their hair? Why does the officer look so nervous? Is it because he's a ginger? Who are the good guys among Cydonia and Ulvaria? question? Question? QUESTION?

With the first question its just one of the made up traditions and customs of a fictional country in one of my stories. I didn't got into the details in the artist description since it would just be useless info haha. Also officers have a very high mortality rate due to the dangerous process in which they have to earn higher ranks, maybe its that, lol.
Also out of the two there's no good or bad guys. Each through the story does things that are considered bad, but also noble things that you'd consider good. One isn't an evil empire and the other a bastion of good, their just like countries in the real world.

All right. I gotta wonder where the conflict is if neither country is the badguy, but you know more about what you invented then I do. On a last note I woul argue that there are countries seen as evil. Countries like North Korea and many of the other smaller ones who's only clear goal is to destroy someone else.

Granted it doesn't have anyone from the Air Force (though Cydonia's Air Force isn't that great) or their Special Forces, haha, but thanks dude.

Spurs and Berets? where the does a man go to sign ...oh wait Mars...no dice. But I have to admit that a revolver based casing for rifles is a rather fun idea and would remedy the awkward and time consuming reloading issue that plagues them, although replacing an entire chamber barrel could be more time consuming....eerie. Also I doubt that sword is a simple sword....the hilt is fitted with turbo jets that can fire the sword like some kind of stabby missile aint they?

I would imagine they have moon clips for the rifles. Which do exist in real life. They're just all the bullets pre-packaged in a circular bracket to allow you to stick them all in the revolver at once in one smooth movement and then close it again, without having to do each individual one.
And no actually, though the army is very skilled and has various weapons and artillery, the swords are completely traditional ones and have no hidden weapons. Culturally their seen as a sign of military status, respect, and loyalty to the army, so modifying one would be seen as a great disrespect. As well as saying you don't trust your own skill with it in battle.

They are a very proud and historic nation. And up to the war fought about 2-3 years before the beginning of the story, they had won every war in their history.
