Thanks! I freehanded the one side, and then facepalm'd when I realized I had to make an exact copy on the other side hahaha.

And yep, I make them all from scratch! Hand cut from leather, hand shaped and carved, the whole works!

That's a lot of intense work! Mask making was always on my list of things I wanted to try. But that list is way too long. I will need a clone or a second life. Lol, so it's always nice to enjoy the labors of another artist's work! Good job, your work is beautiful.

Oh yeah, it can get REALLY intense, especially when you're carving. If you make one little mistake, it shows through, and is almost impossible to fix (which might explain why I'm only working on the carved masks bit by bit and VERY carefully lol). But it really is fun, and after my first try I was pretty much hooked! And I hear you about needing a clone. I'd probably need an army of me to do all the crafting I'd like to. A legion of knitters...ha!
And thanks so much for the compliment, it always gives me a wonderful fuzzy feeling to know people actually like what I've made!

Yes, an army of clones would about do the trick. I knit, sew, scrapbook, sculpt with clay, make jewelry, dabble in resin, have a newly found love for makeup and special FX makeup (and apparently am good at it from what everyone tells me), I am married, work and go to school. Army? Yes, please.
Lol, and I know what you mean about the compliments. I get the same way. I think it makes me strive to work harder and do more. Knowing that if I create something awesome, someone somewhere will be able to appreciate it. I'm an attention whore and always like to be the best at whatever I do, so when people tell me I'm good, it makes me feel awesome. Also, I think that when other artists do good work, they deserve to be told. I think there is too much fave'ing on here. Too many people will just deposit your work into a folder to be looked at later, copied later, etc and never appreciate you or the work for what it is, what it took to make it. They won't thank you for posting it, or for making it for that matter... (sorry, I am Irish and even on the internet I ramble)

Oh wow, you've got me beat! It sounds like 2 of you could beat the heck out of an ARMY of slackers like me!
And I'm with you on the compliments. When I first set this page up I was kind of antsy, because I knew I wasn't going to get 10,000 favs in the first instant or anything, but I didn't know how my stuff would be received in general. So far I've been pretty happy with the response, and the favs are great (I make ZERO complaints about the favs) but the comments are what really strike a chord with me. Even taking a few moments to write 'LOLS <3 <3 <3 I WANT' is enough to make me happy most of the time. Now imagine the joy when I get comments that have actually taken thought! Seriously, one of these days I might get an awesome comment and explode into candy and rainbows and stuff!
