Personality
Caspian, or Cass, is one feisty otter. Often times loud and boisterous, Cass is an otter who tackles any given situation head on with enthusiasm. He is open to any new situations, and never shy about meeting others. Cass is also quick to adapt to his surroundings and learn new skills as they come. He always tackles any given situation or task head on and he never hesitates to take action, even if it is risky. He isn't afraid of taking risks and often times shows a great deal of courage when dealing with the unknown. Often times though, Cass won't use his mind and he'll often recklessly charge into the situation without even thinking, mostly because Cass is highly impatient. This sometimes causes Cass to rush through tasks that are keeping him from whatever else is on his mind and whatever he feels is a more important task, or interest. Cass often does put his own interests ahead of others though and might come off as a bit selfish at times. While it might not seem like it, he does have a caring side. He typically displays a more selfish side towards others he doesn't care for as much, and he would only put aside his own selfish interest if it would benefit him. To those he does truly care about though, Cass might show a bit less of this side when the time calls for it. He would gladly do whatever he could to help those he cares for, and protect them. He would lay down his life and risk whatever he had to, just to protect those he truly cared about.
Born in 1897 to a couple living in Seasong City, Caspian, or Cass, was the youngest of two. His parents had a small market in the city, though ever since Cass was young, he always had a strong interest in his father's side of the business. His dad was a fisherman who caught fish for the market and if there was on thing Cass loved, it was the ocean. Cass had a strong curiosity of the sea and he often spent a lot of time close by. While Cass regularly helped his mom and his sister in the market while his father was out, he often spent his free time fishing in the ocean, swimming in it, or just practicing his scalchop techniques on the beach. Just the sight of the ocean was enough to satisfy him while practicing scalchop techniques. Cass always wanted to go out with his father when he was young, though his mother often thought he was too young. She promised him someday he could go out with him, though not until he was at least 15.
As the years passed, Cass slowly grew bored working at the market. He always had a low patience level, and often begged his mother to let him go out with his father. Her answer always remained the same. One day though, when Cass was 13, he decided to sneak onto his father's ship before he left. Cass' father often left dock early in the morning, so one day, he managed to sneak out of his room and board his father's fishing boat. By the time his father found him, he already left the docks. When he was discovered though, his father was pretty angry. After scolding him, he decided to turn back around. Cass tried to pay close attention to how his father controlled the ship and its sails as he turned around. When Cass got back, his mom didn't hesitate to punish him for sneaking out like that, which meant he wasn't allowed much free time after he was done helping in the market. It seemed like there wasn't much Cass could do at this point.
By the time Cass finally turned 15, his mother finally did let him go out with his father. His father would teach him all he knew about navigation, steering, anchoring the boat, and tying it up. Cass picked up on it pretty quickly. He finally found himself behind the wheel and it was absolutely thrilling for him. He began to go out with his father every once and a while, though only once his mother would let him. He was quickly learning how to sail the seas during the trips, though this would soon become a problem. Cass always did want to travel the ocean and see what wonders were laid out there for him. Unfortunately for his parents, by the time Cass turned 17 soon began taking the boat out for joyrides, and maybe a little fishing. He wouldn't go far out and his father was okay with letting him go out at first, as long as it didn't interfere with school or helping his mom. It was never too much of a problem, though he often would rush through stuff just so he could get out and take the boat out for a little bit. He often had to go back and redo stuff, which often led to him having less time for sailing the seas. It endlessly frustrated him and it just made him wish he could leave home and sail the seas with no worries.
There was one day on the weekend when Cass' father was supposed to go out for fishing, but when he went to board his ship, he found it was already gone, and Cass wasn't home. Over a small radio he kept, he contacted Cass and demanded that he came back home. Reluctantly, the Oshawott turned the ship around and tried to get back as fast as he could. He rather far away from home though, and it wasn't long before the waves began to get rougher and a storm began to brew. It was on that fateful day that the disaster would strike the world, and Cass would find himself right in the middle of it in the worst place at the worst time. The waves were growing larger as the storm raged on. Cass was trying frantically to get out of this mess, attempting to contact his parents over the radio, though the storm was interfering with the signal. Unfortunately, the storm got the better of him and his ship. The Oshawott's ship was taken by the ocean and that was the last his parents ever heard from him.
Miraculously, Cass would see the light of day again, though one question remained. Where was he? As the world began to twist and turn, Cass found himself awake, and stuck on an island. So much for never having to work in the market. This isn't exactly what Cass had in mind. He'd search for signs of life, though to no avail. His next mission was to find some food, though he couldn't really find much. A couple berries wouldn't do much, and he didn't know how to start a fire, so Cass decided he had to get off this island. Chopping down some trees and vines using his scalchops, Cass would put together a small raft for him to paddle out on. If he was ever going to survive, he had to take matters into his own hands. Using the vines and trees he cut down, Cass was able to construct a small raft. Those lessons on rope tying from his father would pay off big time. With a raft now constructed, Cass paddled out. He would spent hours out on the open sea, though something soon grabbed his attention. There was another ship sailing the horizon. He began yelling for the ship, attempting to paddle, though it wasn't exactly an easy task. Thinking quickly, the Oshawott sent a Water Pulse flying into the air, which seemed to grab the attention of the ship.
Cass was soon picked up by the ship, though he quickly learned this was no ordinary vessel. This was a pirate ship. The captain on board, a middle aged Walrien, offered him a rescue and even explained the state of the world. Ferals have gone mad and dungeons began to appear through the world. The news was shocking to Cass, though there was still the matter of his rescue. There was a condition. He had to join the crew, unless he wanted to continue to aimlessly paddle across the ocean, searching for a way home. Cass remembered his life back at home though...He could continue to sail the seas, while getting fed and having a place to sleep. It was much better than school and the market. Cass would agree to becoming a crew member, seeing as it was more beneficial than paddling the open sea. During his time on the ship as the months went on, Cass manages to finally evolve into a Dewott, after training extensively with crew members. Unfortunately, while he thought most of the time he'd be doing exciting things like treasure hunting and sailing, as a new recruit, Cass often found himself scrubbing the deck or washing dishes. It wasn't much better than working at the market, he'd realize. He had little interest in doing such, though the captain often yelled at him for the sloppy job he did. That often led to him having less time to train and mess around with other crew members.
There were times when he'd see the more nasty side of the crew though, when they stole from other ships It didn't bother him at first. He'd raid ships carrying goods with his crew, though it wasn't until they arrived at Emerald Port when it would finally bug him. Since the disaster, the port has managed to rebuilt over the past few months. The ship was able to dock, and the captain noticed another ship docked nearby. The crew would attempt to raid the ship at the port, and the owners really struck a nerve with him. The Samurott who owned the ships the crew raided reminded him a lot of his father. Just thinking about his own family once more made him think about abandoning the crew and trying to find a way back home. Deciding to make a run for it, Cass soon grabbed the attention of the captain. He found himself being confronted by the captain, who demanded to know where he was going. Not hesitating, he attacked the Captain and ran away, forcing the captain to send his crew after Cass. While trying to make his escape using Aqua Jet, one of the pirates threw an Energy Ball at him, which did quite a bit of damage. He managed find a safe place in some storage building, though once he knew it was safe, he had to get out of this town.
Cass waited for hours before it was safe to come out. By this time, the pirates were gone, and he recovered enough from the previous attack and he was ready to get going. Finally free from the pirates, and now stuck on Emerald Island for the time being. Thinking back to that family the pirates stole from, it made Cass think of his home. Maybe life back home wasn't so bad, but Cass had to figure out how to get back home. On top of that, he realized he needed the money to get a new boat for his father as well. He wouldn't return until he had the money to get a new one. The Dewott would start asking around the port, keeping his guard up for those pirates. He would try to hide his look, wearing a red armband to hide the symbol the captain carved into his arm. He asked others if there was any work he could do, though what he got was not what he expected. He heard of a guild up in Everstone City. If he wanted work, the best work he could do was helping the guild clean up the world. It didn't interest him much at first, but talks of treasure in these strange mystery dungeons did grab his attention. If he could become a member, go down there and find that treasure, maybe he could get enough money to find way back home and get a new boat for his father. And thus, Cass would begin to make the long journey to Everstone City, hoping he could join the guild once he got there.

Cass will attack using the two scalchop he carries, tied around the rope he wears around his waist. Glowing blue energy blades will extend from the scalchops
Water Pulse
An orb of water will form in Cass' hands and he will chuck it at his target. Being hit with this move can potentially cause confusion.
Aqua Jet
Cass' body will become surrounded in a jet of water and he will launch himself at his target at a high speed.
X-Scissior(TM)
Cass will slash at his target with both of his scalchops in an X motion. His scalchops will glow green as he uses this attack.
Night Slash(Egg)
Dark glowing blades of energy will extend from his scalchops, or his claws, and Cass will slash at his opponent.
