what's the difference between that gun and the orange gun in halo 2?

Correction: it's a red-colored generic plasma rifle that can be fired faster than the standard plasma rifle, but overheats quicker. The plasma repeater also fires a little faster than the red Brute plasma rifle, but it does not overheat all at once, but gradually, and the user can vent the weapon manually.
