"Heartbroken people that gave everything to someone, receiving no feedback. No love in return. No appreciation. All those grief weighing on the person's back and everyone sees it as a beautiful tragedy of some sort. Love itself is already a tragedy..."
The moment I read that, I remembered my own memories of when I tried to be in a relationship with a girl. It didn't work because one of many reasons, I was manipulated. Tricked. Deceived, whatever it can be called. In most of my years of existence, I eventually gave up on relationships; I was convinced I wasn't really relationship material. However, I learned that relationships are a "life choice", not a "requirement". So I may fantasize about a relationship because it'll very likely won't happen for me, that's ok. I made up my mind being alone; I'm not truly "alone" either.
I must say Tom, I near-immediately had a connection with this piece with the literature you wrote. In fact, ever since I discovered your work, I wrote a couple of pieces and currently in-progress with my own character in the world of Dr. Rabbit's own travels. But I'm not brave enough to post them. I say this, because some of your work also helps with confidence, if only slightly. I wish you well my friend.

Wow this is so beautiful and a really interesting concept behind it. Can really grasp the sense of eeriness and loneliness in this piece.. :0

There's so much in this it's so beautiful. The scene seems to represent how natural it is to have unrequited love which I guess is a norm for some though not for others and it's as if there is peace with this idea due to the tranquillity of the pastel tones. But I think the cold blue stones around the water could easily show some sort of barrier between accepting the truth of lost love while portraying some of the sharpness of a lack of love - sort of like grit in a wound. With the wound analogy you could say that the floral elements growing on the structures could show how nature is healing the wound hence getting over the lost love. This is further implied by the fact that the sun is setting on the valley possibly bringing any negativity to a stop.
