Description 'One night i dreamed of something, a place that i visited. The whole world is colored in a rather odd selection of pastel colors. Statues of despair that looks like a figure of some sort with vegetation growing on it's back. What.. place is this... well some may say that this is known as the "Valley of Forgotten Lovers"..
Heartbroken people that gave everything to someone, receiving no feedback. No love in return. No appreciation. All those grief weighing on the person's back and everyone sees it as a beautiful tragedy of some sort. Love itself is already a tragedy... But it is also a beautiful one and there's nothing like it. I myself never fall in love before.. maybe i did but i just can't seem to remember...
The statues seems to be figure of those who has been isolated and forgotten due to problem regarding love. Maybe love itself is something even the cosmic wouldn't understand. Maybe i'm thinking too much about it...
while this dream seems surreal... it's.. an intriguing one for me to be in. I'll stay a bit before waking up.'

Hello!
Thank you very much for reading the whole story and i hope you enjoy the painting i made!
I know this is something quite different from the usual painting i made. I received feedback from my viewers and friends alike and a lot of it seems to center about getting out of my comfort zone. I think i'm going to do just that by doing paintings that has more different color styles, more weirder subjects or something with a new perspective. What do you think about this?
Feedback is greatly appreciated and i wanna know what you folks think about the new experimental paintings i did
Thank you very much! I hope you have a great day!

"Heartbroken people that gave everything to someone, receiving no feedback. No love in return. No appreciation. All those grief weighing on the person's back and everyone sees it as a beautiful tragedy of some sort. Love itself is already a tragedy..."

The moment I read that, I remembered my own memories of when I tried to be in a relationship with a girl. It didn't work because one of many reasons, I was manipulated. Tricked. Deceived, whatever it can be called. In most of my years of existence, I eventually gave up on relationships; I was convinced I wasn't really relationship material. However, I learned that relationships are a "life choice", not a "requirement". So I may fantasize about a relationship because it'll very likely won't happen for me, that's ok. I made up my mind being alone; I'm not truly "alone" either.

I must say Tom, I near-immediately had a connection with this piece with the literature you wrote. In fact, ever since I discovered your work, I wrote a couple of pieces and currently in-progress with my own character in the world of Dr. Rabbit's own travels. But I'm not brave enough to post them. I say this, because some of your work also helps with confidence, if only slightly. I wish you well my friend.

Thank you very much for the kind words, i am really happy and delighted to hear that this piece speak to you
I am sorry to hear about the relationship problems that you had in the past but maybe they are going to teach us and build us a better future.
I am also happy that my painting and writing makes you start writing your own story in this bizarre world aswell
Happy writing and creating!

Wow, that's some dream for anyone to have.
And the landscape is truly unique, even without the theme of forgotten lovers.
Love the pastel coloured sky, the trees, the "crystal" shards, everything about this painting really.
Magnificent work, Tommy! Another deviation without a doubt totally 'd!

The pastels are quite nice and definitely help set the mood. The reflections are great and just having Dr. Rabbit look over it all in amazement and wonderment is truly remarkable as well. I always enjoy reading your stories with these paintings; it brings them to life even more. I must say, it is a bit disturbing, but I know that was the point of it and for that is doing its job well! Not much else I can see or say at the moment. Very well done as always!

My friend said it was rather anxiety inducing aswell haha but i think mixing it with an interesting scenery this scene could definitely be something!

Gems-shadow [2019-06-14 14:43:37 +0000 UTC]

There's so much in this it's so beautiful. The scene seems to represent how natural it is to have unrequited love which I guess is a norm for some though not for others and it's as if there is peace with this idea due to the tranquillity of the pastel tones. But I think the cold blue stones around the water could easily show some sort of barrier between accepting the truth of lost love while portraying some of the sharpness of a lack of love - sort of like grit in a wound. With the wound analogy you could say that the floral elements growing on the structures could show how nature is healing the wound hence getting over the lost love. This is further implied by the fact that the sun is setting on the valley possibly bringing any negativity to a stop.
