Description Just for fun, imagining what the poster for a Dredd sequel might look like. Also, a little exercise for myself to try out a new style and do a bit more digital painting. Hope you like!

Very cool painting there, first one to make that version of the motorbike to look decent Love the background.

Thank you!

Yeah, I loved what they did with the uniform and weapons in the film, but bike was one of the elements of I wasn't 100% sold on. I think the design of it was fine (if a little plain and boxy), I just felt it needed to feel a little chunkier - a little bit more like the bike Batman rides in The Dark Knight (obviously I understand that the makers of Dredd had about 1/10th of the budget of TDK though!).

This is a great picture - I love the way the city has the mixture of the larger and smaller buildings, like the movie. And the design of the shotgun is superb - really cool stuff.

Thanks, though I can't claim credit for the shotgun - it's a standard UTS-15 assault shotgun often used by real-world police forces. The 2012 movie used real-world weaponry (Anderson carries a MP5 late in the film and I think Dredd's lawgiver is a modified Glock 17) so I figured that would follow through in the 'sequel').

Thank you. Alex Garland hinted in his loose 'Dredd trilogy' outline that the first sequel would have be largely based on the 2006/7 'Origins' storyline, mixed with a bit of 'The Cursed Earth' (the mutant Tyrannosaur Satanus would feature in some capacity), the 'Democracy'/'America' arc and would also feature the character of Chopper from 'The Midnight Surfer/Oz'. Whereas the third film would have been some combination of plot elements from 'Judge Death' and 'The Judge Cal Saga'/'The Day the Law Died'.

I would bet money that the titles of those two proposed films would have been 'Dredd: Origins' and 'Dredd Vs Death', which would be in keeping the sparse title of the original movie.

Yeah, Origins sounds right.

And being honest, i hoped to see a cameo of Ezquerra and Wagner as judges!
