a gun i made for .we're going to be random steampunk characters for halloween. i'm uber excited!
btw... yes! it's a nerf gun. i made some modifications to the mechanisms, banged it around a bit and painted it. all for about $20!
oh... i forgot! it fires too!

Well you don't HAVE to but i did. It's the only way to guarantee none of the yellow plastic is showing. It also removes the need to mask each section because I base paint with spray paint.

take pictures as you remove the pieces! then you can just scroll backwards through them when putting it all back together. you'll know exactly what goes where and when.

Great look! How'd you get the scratches/dents in it? I'm working on one for a costume and I'm hoping to put "dents" here and there, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

I usually use random tools (hammer, screwdriver, rasp, etc.) but the plastic is too brittle so I broke out the dremel and used a sanding drum.
