Description
Been a long time since my last upload. I was in a big art funk for a long time, where I was just barely able to manage a truncated version of my daily practice regimen. I was really disillusioned with making a comic, since I had completed all the fun parts of working on my project (for me the fun stuff is the world-building, writing and planning). And with all those things done it was time to get down to work and actually start putting some pages together. I was having a lot of trouble accepting the gap in quality between what I had pictured in my head and what I was actually capable of illustrating (since I am a person of the toxic perfectionist persuasion), which really sucked any kind of pleasure out of the whole process, turning it into a chore at best or at worst a kind of self flagellation.
Thankfully I was able to at least keep practicing daily so I at least didn't get terribly rusty. Thankfully I have had another cool idea for a story and that has got me motivated again, so I seem to be coming out of my funk.

About the brawler:
This is a sketch I made while doing some character design for a character in this new story. He is the best friend of the protagonist. Most of the time he is a delightfully bright and friendly person, and it is very difficult to get him angry, but if you do it aint pretty. This condition was much worse when he was a child and lead to quite a few hardships for both himself as well as his sister. But thanks to meeting the protagonist during the peak of those hardships, he has since learned to control his anger.
