This is amazing, I really love how you've drawn him here, very Bionicle, but a little different which is cool, for some reason a lot of people draw the bionicles like they are people underneath which I don't understand, but this is spectacular.

I'm to lazy to give a full review but there's something slightly wrong with his legs... I don't think they should be so straight. But that's just personal preference. Good job!

Ah, I see hard brushes. 
The lighting is what completely makes this picture. There're a couple of slight problems (which I'm not going to point out since others already have), but the colors totally make up for them. I've been noticing recently that a lot of professional digital painters can get away with insanely tiny amounts of detail but still achieve highly realistic resulta just through their use of of light.
...You seem to have pulled off exactly the same type of thing here.
Definitely your best work to date (and why the Taft isn't it on BAG??).

A fantastic picture indeed.
The blurry background works: stop worrying about it. Detail woulda just hurt you here. Worry about nice leaves when the picture calls for them. For now, enjoy the fine emphasis it provides Lewa.
Just one thing, though... The way you have (his) left katana pointing looks awkward and just a bit painful. Moving it a bit so that the katana doesn't intersect his leg at all would help greatly.
Otherwise, just magnificent. Grand work.

Forget what you said about hating them trees, ToM. They look AWESOME. 
The black piece in the upper dip of his armor is slightly off, even at the angle. If you looked at the same figure straight-on, it would be offset. -His- left hand looks smaller than the right (since the right is farther away, they wouldn't be the same size.)
Anyway, itty bitty nitpicks. Love the picture! And looooove Lewa! *glompage Toa of Air*

This has got to be your best CGing effort so far, ToM. Wubing all the metallic sheens on his body and hands and feet. The shading and colouring is exquisite, as is the whole character design. I agree with Kay - it seriously looks like you've modelled him completely in 3D. I particulary like the sharp highlights with the sun above, it really makes the image come alive. He's so exuberant and full of energy, soaring among the leafy canopy of Le-Koro. No need to be ashamed of the background - the fact that you've blurred it makes it look out of focus, making Lewa stand out further. Very nice.
I have an itty bitty iff about his thigh armour and right shoulder, though. The thigh armour doesn't look quite symmetrical (the closer one is too short at the top), and the shoulder joint looks too elongated. If the lime part of his upper arm represents the shape of the biceps and triceps, then the shoulder attachment point is way too far out from the body. The shoulder armour covers most of this, or could it simply be the culprit? IMO, the armour plate should cover the lime section more.
Those insignificant misgivings aside, the rest is a symphony of Bionicle win. ^^ Excellent foreshortening on his other arm. And that Miru Nuva is t3h 4w3s0m3.
