My third pixelated character. This was created using MS Paint and is of Taka Hirose, Japanese bassist of my favourate band 'Feeder' (fellow member with Grant Nicholas, who I have also pixelated), a rock band from Wales, UK who have recently made it big. In all my pixelated characters, I try and be as precise and accurate as possible. I search through hundreds of images looking for just two or three that can help with the pose, look, and detailing. From those few images I compose and produce the drawing. Everything Taka is wearing he actually owns and wears on stage, his Superman T-shirt is quite familiar to fans. His bass is his favourate, he designed it himself.

I posted this piece of work on the official Feeder forum and, similar to my Grant Nicholas pixelation, I got plenty of complementary e-mails. This image was even used for the cover of the birthday card sent to Taka from everyone on the official Feeder forum.

The detail on Taka is quite sparse, but the bass guitar is very detailed and I am very proud of it. I think it looks almost identical to the real thing, and I've had others saying the same to me.
