Unrealistic rags and feet worn out to bleeding from practicing. And the worst background ever. Not good, in a few ways.>____________>;;;
So, old pic I got around to finishing, meant to show Tethys's past (as described in her supports with Gerik). Alone as a child and having to take care of her younger brother, she memorized a street dancer's routine and practiced it endlessly, so that she could earn money dancing too. It sounds sketchy, doesn't it? But ignore that! Ewan doesn't understand the gravity of the situation, he's too young, hence his happy face.
Anyway, I haven't been uploading frequently because I've been working on lots of things instead of focusing. So, I have a bunch of little pictures in progress for a compilation pic, I'm making some sprite sheets for EarthBound, a revamp of Koholint Island and the Link's Awakening opening, and I'm working on that next page of Pearl Eyes. I'm hoping to upload one page a week, at least...

Gaaah, how adorable! Being an older sister to a younger brother myself, I certainly sympathize with the desire to protect/help your sibling (though thankfully I don't have nearly such a traumatic time of it!).
Ewan and Tethys make a lovely family, and lovely people in their own regards.
I like the basic, yet instantly "desert" background, myself. And I also enjoy the detail of Tethys' ragged street clothes.

I just got the A support between her and Gerik, and it's hilarious. XD Very nice though, her background was not one I was expecting.

i like it, i have never seen a representation of Tethy's past before and i think you executed it very well. and the background, don't worry about it, it looks totally fine, (personally, i hate background stuff too) the characters are amazing, and i think people tend to look mainly at the characters more than the background.

true, backgrounds can add to a pic, but you did the characters so well. that's why, in this senario, a background doesn't matter as much. what u have 4 a background is totally cool. i believe its toally fine

Yeah, this is very emotive indeed. Tethys putting all that effort only to see her little brother smiling. But it was worth it in the end, she ended up becoming a beautiful and charming woman, and a very talented dancer.
