Description
This image is from the new trading Card Game I'm illustrating. It was split into 2 separate cards when it was printed (one for Beowulf and one for Grendel). This set was originally supposed to be a triptych with Grendel's mother attached next to Grendel but, I copped out and she is her own separate image (which is one of my favorites) that I will post latter. Beowulf bears a slight resemblance to Robert Zemeckis's 2007 "Beowulf" movie, this is completely coincidental. I drew this in the spring of 2007 well before I saw the designs from the movie. Beowulf's face is based on my own, the face only, the body, unfortunately is not based on mine.
