Description INFORMATION EDIT!!!!

[link] GO THERE NOAW OR BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING!!! The lineartist colored(*shaded really for now) it AMAZINGLY!!

(also, I decreased the size of viewing because now I feel very sheepish about my details )

Original and AMAZING lineart here: [link] or original sketch: [link] by Go now and look or you will be murdered in your sleep by rabid bunnies.

Title inspired in part by the lineart and in part by the magic that digital coloring has brought to my life in the last year! I think I'm falling in love! So many details in this pic! Some ideas were pulled from the sketch (*the detailing above the window sill and the contents of the drawers )

See my flats here if you feel so inclined: [link]

So just like in the flats I didn't keep the exact time, but rather a list of movies I played while working:
Godzilla
Crash
The Day After Tomorrow
The Princess Bride
Finding Nemo
21
and about two hours of radio playing

Let me know what you think

I love the composition and mood you have set. The scene is wonderful, as are all of the details.

My only contention here is the irregularity of the light sources. It seems like each object has been colored with a form of shading that makes sense, rather than how light would actually hit the object. Another thing is that you have some obvious bright light sources in the painting, but they are not casting any light on any objects. The best example would be how the candlelight is hitting the tree. It is obviously lit, but not casting any shadow (harsh light, dark shadows).

Keep on creating!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback. I agree completely with everything you said. As I'm learning to color I am sadly focused on shape shading instead of shading from a more interactive lighting. I've noticed myself saying "how can I show the shape of this object" instead of "how does my light in this picture hit this object" I'm trying to work that out, and hopefully I can get there. I had originally planned to have a strong light behind the boy sitting in the window, but when I tried to color him that way it freaked me out so I dulled down the strength of the outside light. Hopefully in the future I can stay true to my chosen lighting!

Thanks again for the feedback

The style is pretty nice, though I'd like to see a more varied pallette, and somewhat more contrast here.
It's still nice

Thanks. Ive been thinkng about reworking it so that the window becomes a stronger light source and the hovering lights over the girl would cast better light as well. Hopefully I can work on it, because I agree, the little bits of color on objects is not very interesting with how dull the background is. Thanks for your feedback.
